2027 DL MVP]

Another MVP this time from the 2027 group of the defensive linemen at the Minnesota-Morris Prospect Camp was Providence Academy’s Jacob Gieseke Jacob Gieseke 6'0" | 224 lbs | EDGE/DL Providence Academy | 2027 State MN . Jacob showed what I thought in the live eval was one of the most explosive get offs I saw amongst the DL group as he showed off fluid power from start to finish in every rep I got to watch as Jacob showed off one of the more relentless motors I saw at camp as well. The 6’0 230 pounder, was a long strider as well from the reps I got to watch for his size and I thought had some of the most physical hands amongst the defensive line group in Morris too. He’s starting to pick up steam on his recruiting trail, with two Division III offers in the last handful of weeks.

I didn’t get to watch Jacob as much I would have liked, but there were some reps that caught our attention. The 6’0 240 pounder is another DL from Providence Academy, that showed off an improved get off in the reps I watched that showed off his growth from an agility perspective. His upside shows growth to develop a more balanced pad-level but Jacob was one that I feel showed off as a DL prospect that has a quick growth curve to improve some of that before the fall season starts. A 2027 that is under the radar with no offers as of yet.

A big, broad-shouldered, 6′, 225 lb. iDL from Providence Academy, 2027 Jacob Gieseke Jacob Gieseke 6'0" | 224 lbs | EDGE/DL Providence Academy | 2027 State MN popped off an explosive 8’4″ broad jump during the testing phase of Saturday’s PRZMN Spring Showcase. Gieseke displayed a good get-off from the interior, active hands, and some solid leverage, and was a good combination of speed and strength against OCs and OGs. D3s should be all over this dude in the 2027 cycle!

Jacob Gieseke Jacob Gieseke 6'0" | 224 lbs | EDGE/DL Providence Academy | 2027 State MN is no stranger to our Prep Redzone showcase events, being his 3rd appearance at a PRZMN event over the last year, and he continues to take steps forward with his progression as a rising DL prospect. Gieseke performed well throughout the 1-on-1 reps at DE, showcasing a solid blend of explosive outside rushes and inside moves while also being able to drive blockers back and being able to get to the QB through holds by the O-Linemen. His solid resume as a regular standout at our events should prove pivotal as he enters his senior season as a sneaky prospect to make a late recruiting push toward.
