About Andrew

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is hard nose up front old fashioned football. I live to hit hard and punish those who stand in my way. I like to use bull rush, strength, and some quick moves. to bypass the offensive line, and hit that quarterback so hard he wants to quit.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is strong I love to get things done and do my best that I can when I have a task at hand I like to dial in and get it done. My mentality has been shaped by the sport of wrestling. it has helped be and broken me.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in the programs with my church, I am also involved in the stillwater wrestling team, I have been a starter on varsity for 3 years I am a one time state entrant. I also wrestle with PINnacle wrestling club. A wrestling club founded by Jared Lawrence and Brandon Paulson, I have won U16 folkstyle nationals, and I am a two time fargo entrant.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learned the leadership skill of leading with action instead of your words or voice because I know that actions speak louder than words. I also try to serve my community as much as possible, usually by working through my church. I believe that the strongest teamwork requires the strongest bonds and so over the summers I like to host bonfire and BBQs with the team to strengthen the bond.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced my challenges, over this winter I was fighting my own mind i wasn't strong enough so I had to break it and rebuild it and with that and the help of my coaches and many of their friends and connections, I was able to rebuild my mindset as I centered it around Christ and not myself and my own achievements

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a collage with a strong business department and or a strong engineering department. i want one with a good community and a strong campus ministry, so i can further my walk with Christ.

A well-known and very familiar 2027 prospect coming out of Stillwater High School, DL Andrew Olson Andrew Olson Andrew Olson 6'2" | 265 lbs | DL/EDGE Stillwater | 2027 State MN is coming a strong junior wrestling season that saw him place 4th at 285AAA in a loaded heavyweight bracket in the big school division. Olson is also one of the best DTs in the state – a premier position on the recruiting trail – and he highlighted some quickness and explosiveness during testing by popping off a 4.56 shuttle and 8’3 broad at 6’2.5″, 236 pounds and counting. Olson was also showing off nonstop, can’t-miss power and a bull rush that was really giving iOL in attendance trouble during 1v1s, and his ability to unlock his hips, push/pull, and win the hand-fighting battle helped him earn hard-fought win after hard-fought win against a loaded OL group. NSICs and MVFCs gotta get this kid to their summer prospect camps ASAP.
