4A Georgia High School Programs On The Rise

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There are many teams in the state who could compete to dethrone Creekside, which was victorious in the 4A state championship in 2025. Among all of the teams in the state, I believe that these three teams make a sneaky good case to be considered to pull it off.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><mark class="has-inline-color has-primary-color">North Oconee</mark></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This team is easily the favorite to win the state championship in the 4A division. This team has a ton of talent and a ton of returning talent. Brooks Benton has the chance to become one of the better quarterbacks in the state now that he is getting the starting job. He has all the talent you could want at the position, and he will have some stars to throw the ball to. I believe that this is one of the better offenses in the country.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><mark class="has-inline-color has-primary-color">Cartersville</mark></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This is one of the more explosive teams on both sides of the ball, as Cartersville was excellent last season, and they looked like the team to beat at multiple points. They have all the talent you could want on the front line, but they have a ton of talent in the skill positions. [player_tooltip player_id='2102542' first='Maddox' last='Davis'] and [player_tooltip player_id='952354' first='Tripp' last='Chatmon'] are some of the better players in the state for their class, and I can't wait to see how they stack up against other competitive teams this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><mark class="has-inline-color has-primary-color">Dalton</mark></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Dalton Catamounts team made the playoffs, but just barely last season. They are much older this season and will be one of the many teams that make headlines, as they will have the chance to showcase their offensive talent yet again. [player_tooltip player_id='969646' first='Caine' last='Woods'] led the state in passing yards last season, and he will be looking to do the same thing in 2026. [player_tooltip player_id='1142017' first='Isaac' last='Summey'], [player_tooltip player_id='1685081' first='Havyn' last='Searels'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1844024' first='Kamdon' last='London'] are all back on the offensive side of the football, while the Catamounts return [player_tooltip player_id='2134726' first='Franck' last='Atangana'], [player_tooltip player_id='1942113' first='Abreham' last='Evans'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1091378' first='Elijah' last='Long'] this season on defense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><mark class="has-inline-color has-primary-color">Kell</mark></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This Kell team is losing a ton of talent, as they are losing [player_tooltip player_id='401475' first='Brayden' last='Rouse'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1638165' first='Jowell' last='Combay'], but they also have some of their better players returning. The main player that this team will be returning is star running back [player_tooltip player_id='419329' first='Quinterrius' last='Gipson'], who is one of the better running backs in the state. On the defensive side of the ball, the team will be returning [player_tooltip player_id='942130' first='Kamoni' last='Adams'], who is one of the more polished defensive backs in the state, in my opinion. This team is a sneaky option to consider when you look at the 4A division.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><mark class="has-inline-color has-primary-color">Blessed Trinity</mark></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Blessed Trinity is one of the better defensive teams in the state, thanks to some of the players that they have, but [player_tooltip player_id='378430' first='David' last='Jacobs'] is the star of this team. He can change a game in a split second, which is what you want out of a defender. I anticipate him to be one of the better players in the state yet again, and I believe this team could be fantastic off the back of his production.
