Expert Analysis

My player prediction for Summey is that he will be the leading receiver for the Catamounts in touchdowns, as I believe he will have multiple touchdowns over double-digits. I believe this is possible thanks to his unique speed, along with his great improvements since last season. He is faster, stronger, and bigger, and he will have the same quarterback as last season. I believe he will be a major target for

is entering his fourth and final season with the Catamounts, and he is by far one of the better players in the red and white. He is looking quicker than ever, and he is continuing to find his rhythm in this new offense. He is a general in this wide receiver room and has been one of the more explosive players in this offseason. He is going to have a massive season if he keeps this up, as he continues to show that he is worth a look when it comes to somewhere at the next level with his offensive, defensive, and special teams value.

is the first player who catches my attention when it comes to this category, as he was one of the better wide receivers in 4A last season. Don’t let his size fool you, because his speed and route running allow him to be one of the more dynamic players at the high school level. If he were just a bit taller, everyone would know who he is, as this is the one thing that is holding him back. A team should take a chance on Summey, as he is someone who can change a game even if it is on special teams. Summey is the truth to say the least.

is mainly an offensive player, but don’t think for one second he can’t play on the defensive side of the ball. I always believed that the defensive side of the football was where he made the most damage. Summey has the chance to become one of the better two-way players in the area and the state, as he will be a key part of both the offense and the defense for the Dalton Catamounts. He is easily one of the fastest players in the state, and he will be viewed as a top name when it comes to the gameplay side of things.

Summey will be in the slot for the Catamounts. He is electric with the ball in his hands, and he will be someone the Catamounts will need to utilize from a speed standpoint. He has the chance to have an even bigger season on the offensive side of the football and is one of the better players when it comes to the wide receiver position. Summey has all the potential in the world with this new coach.

I typically don’t mention players from the same team, but when you want someone who will burn you after the catch, there aren’t many better than Summey. Summey is undersized, and he is someone who has quickly utilized his speed to the best of his ability. He was the reliable prospect for Woods out of the slot, as he was their motion man, and is someone who I anticipate becoming a top name in the state of Georgia if he gets more targets this season. Summey is someone who has plenty of talent and will look to finish his final season the right way.

Summey was the two-way player of the game, as he got valuable snaps on the defense as well as in the slot. He utilized his speed across the middle, as his presence is more valuable than most, as you have to play a defensive back on Summey, or you will be tortured trying to play a linebacker on him. Summey was the best tackler on the team in the Rabun County game, especially at the third level, which has been getting beaten up all year long. His speed and his tackling allowed him to make great plays on the defensive side. He was a primary piece in the special teams once again, despite a fumble. He is one of the shiftiest players in the state, and a college program will get a steal in his recruitment.

Summey is one of the more interesting players in the class, as he is someone with plenty of fight and elusiveness with the ball in his hands. He has been playing tons of slots this season, and can be utilized in the motion game, as they love to use him in that regard. He has plenty of speed, which makes up for him being undersized. His patience is among the best I have seen this season, as his patience has allowed him to create open space. He is also excellent with tackling at the third level on defense, as he is being used as a safety, despite being a cornerback for Boyd Buchanan High School in the state of Tennessee.

Don’t let the small stature fool you. This North Georgia weapon brings game-changing speed, burst, and acceleration to the Dalton offense. He’s a major weapon in the return game, but he’s also been dangerous in the screen and short passing game. When he has the ball, he’s looking to outrun every defender around. He’s tough to coral, can change directions on a dime, and knows how to elude defenders after the catch. Nobody can catch him from behind, and there’s a chance he has an even bigger season next year as a junior. Now, he’s ranked as the No. 171 overall prospect in the state for the 2027 class.

Earning MVP honors for the defensive backs at our Winter Showcase, Summey helped build his recruiting stock in a major way by performing at a high level alongside veterans and in front of college coaches. The Bucs rising sophomore proved to be one of the more athletic DB’s at camp where he was one of the best during 1 on 1 competition and one of the best during the testing portion of camp. Undersized yes but Summey plays much bigger, this Chattanooga area defender did not back down from bigger competition and even held his own, winning several reps against veteran pass catchers. It will be fun to watch this guy develop over the next few years and maybe even come back to our Showcase and earn another MVP award.
