Chris Smith | Prep Redzone Scout
Even though this Chattanooga big man is already ranked as a “Top 30” prospect by Prep Redzone Tennessee, I can see him ranked even higher after watching how much he has developed so far through his senior season. The Seahawks offensive tackle is a massive human being that has increased his lower half athleticism and bend while continuing to add more power and strength to his frame and it shows on film. Burger is a technique sound big man that can make an impact in the run game, moving guys off the ball while also sporting upside as a potential well rounded pass blocker. Those traits and more are why he gained tons of strong offers throughout the process and why he is currently committed to Vanderbilt. The power and size will be there once he arrives in Nashville but continuing to increase his agility and explosion will allow him to potentially see the field early with the Commodores. Scouting this guy over the past few years, Burger has done a great job of developing and becoming the prospect he is and I still think he has higher levels to his game yet to come.
