Scouting the Top 2027 Prospects: Edge Rushers

The class of 2027 is moving into the spotlight, and we're releasing a rankings update next week. We'll have plenty of coverage of the new additions and stock-risers in our 2027 class, but sometimes that doesn't leave much room to cover the elite prospects in the class. Here, we're taking a look at the top of the rankings, scouting the elite players at each position. Here are the top 2027 edge rushers.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Scouting the Top 2027 Edge Rushers</h2>    Streets is an elite prospect. He's spent time atop our 2027 rankings along with several other elite players. He has over 40 sacks in his last two seasons, as he consistently wins with speed, bend, and power. He'll likely add some weight in a college weight program, but he's a college-readu prospect.     Top prospects have the tendency to stay out of the spotlight on a loaded Providence Day team that often rests its starters in the second half of blowouts. But Galloway's impact goes beyond the stats. He's an elite run-stopper off the edge, and stepped up as a pass-rusher in 2025. One of the stronger pound-for-pound prospects in the class,     Rogers transferred from Dudley to Grimsley and briefly rec-classified to the 2026 class before moving back to 2027. He didn't get off to the elite start as a junior that he did as a sophomore, but by the playoffs, he was firing on all cylinders. He's long, able to engage and control offensive tackles, then rip around the edge. He may have the highest pass-rushing upside of any 2027 prospect.     Perkins' raw numbers won't blow you away, but just turn on the tape and prepare to be wowed. He has the most complete array of pass-rushing moves in the state, with violent hands, and superb bend around the edge. He's a relentless pass-rusher with a non-stop motor, the type of guy who could become a top-five prospect with a bit more growth.     Broadie is a bit of a tweener in that he can line up off the ball or on the edge. He did a lot of his damage in 2025 as a stand up pass-rusher, but he can also drop in coverage and move laterally.
