Perkins is one of our top-rated edge rushers in the 2027 class, and his skill set is unique among his peers. Less of a pure speed guy, Perkins still has a great first step, but his bread is buttered with his power. He excels at the shot put, and that upper-body strength shows up on tape. He’s on a line that loses a lot of interior talent, but I still think he can top this season’s pass-rushing numbers in 2026.

Perkins really came on down the stretch, and his film is vastly improved from last year. His get-off and bend are what you’d expect from a future highly sought-after recruit, and he has the work ethic and motor to become even better. The bend is the tantalizing trait here, and he has the ability to make talented offensive linemen look silly on a speed rush.

He has the most complete array of pass-rushing moves in the state, with violent hands, and superb bend around the edge. He’s a relentless pass-rusher with a non-stop motor, the type of guy who could become a top-five prospect with a bit more growth.
