Lareun is a talented player who continues to perform well in these showcase settings. He had several impressive pass break-ups during the 1 on 1 period, using a good reach to get his hands on some good throws. He also has some very good speed and footwork – I never saw him beat over the top or in a complete trail position with separation on his reps. I’m a bit surprised he doesn’t at least have some recruiting interest coming his way, but consistent performances like this during camp season this summer should generate that for sure.

Wilson is as comfortable in zone coverage as any corner in the state, with great feel for where to be and what offenses are trying to do. He’s quick to break on the football when it’s in the air, and he’s a sure tackler on the back end.

Playing mostly to the boundary, Wilson has good ball skills and thrives with the ball in the air. He’s a high-motor player who made plenty of tackles against players he wasn’t primarily covering. With good closing speed and long arms, he can recover and the Jordan coaching staff isn’t afraid to leave him one-on-one.

One of many Jordan Falcons in attendance, Lareun had a good day overall. Fundamentals and athleticism are the main standouts for this young man, in my opinion. Lareun took coaching well during the 1 on 1 segments of the showcase and didn’t make the same mistake twice. That’s what you want to see from players who are athletically gifted. Lareun has some college interest currently, and I expect that to continue as we go through camp season.
