We're always taking stock not only of where players are now,but of where they could end up in the future. He's not the biggest interior lineman in the state, but he has some room to add good weight. He has an excellent athletic profile, with great get-off and ridiculous strength. Coulter really improved his release package, and he plays bigger at the catch point than his size would suggest. Grimsley loses a decent amount of senior talent from its front seven, so the opportunity should be there for Wardlaw to take a step forward next season. He took a step forward this season while playing both guard and tackle. Several of Hammonds' interceptions this season were on the other side of the field, where he simply got to balls that quarterbacks didn't think he'd reach.
