<p>Two of the top RB's in the state regardless of classification are [player_tooltip player_id='936972' first='Elijah' last='Greenan Biggs'] of Scappoose and [player_tooltip player_id='1591745' first='Ryder' last='Carpenter'] of Mountain View. Greenan Biggs was a 1st team all-state selection going for 1,276 yards and 24 TDs with Carpenter rushing for close to 1000 yards and 18 touchdowns before losing in the state semis to Silverton. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1924374' first='Zuzi' last='Alwineyan'] of Willamette was another individual who had a breakout season, helping the Wolverines to the state quarterfinals. He finished with 682 total yards and 6 TDs. Don't sleep on [player_tooltip player_id='1125493' first='Reece' last='Ballew'] of Mountainside who was injured two games into the season, after an all-conference year as a sophomore where he averaged 9.3 yards per carry with 6 TDs. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>At the receiver spot there were multiple standouts who are listed among the top players in the state. [player_tooltip player_id='2088959' first='Cooper' last='Cousin'] of Canby led everybody catching 48 passes for 1,084 yards and 12 TD's, earning 1st team all-state honors. [player_tooltip player_id='1242855' first='Griffin' last='Ellingson'] of Sunset absolutely went off as well, catching 55 passes for 803 yards and 13 TD's and earning 1st team all-Metro accolades at WR. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1119890' first='Greyson' last='Murff'] of Lincoln will be in the PIL POY conversation on both sides of the ball after earning 1st team honors each way. 5-8 slot [player_tooltip player_id='876300' first='Xavior' last='Keller'] of North Salem put together an impressive season himself going for 862 all-purpose yards with 48 receptions and 5 TDs. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1242756' first='Luca' last='Blanchet'] of Aloha destroyed most of the people in his conference trying to guard him. He finished with 1,357 all-purpose yards (1007 receiving) with 49 catches and 6 TDs. [player_tooltip player_id='937174' first='Houston' last='Lillard'] was another breakout athlete for Tualatin. He earned all TRL honors on both sides of the football in the toughest conference statewide. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>TCU baseball commit [player_tooltip player_id='1593708' first='Joe' last='Mendazona'] did a phenomenal job on the football field, hauling in 33 passes for 493 yards and 7 TDs from QB and fellow Oregon Duck baseball commit [player_tooltip player_id='1358900' first='JT' last='Girod']. [player_tooltip player_id='1119886' first='Aidan' last='Hibler'] of North Eugene is another baseball guy who has excelled on the football field for the last three years, averaging 20 yards per catch with 500+ yards and 4 TD's this season. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Two other individuals I expect to hear from over the offseason and beyond are talented two-way athlete [player_tooltip player_id='797128' first='Cameron' last='Elijah'] of 6A champ Lake Oswego and 6-4 TE [player_tooltip player_id='1671467' first='Cameron' last='Caruso'] who is playing for one of the fastest rising programs in Sandy. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>At the QB position [player_tooltip player_id='1242808' first='Braylon' last='Gaines'] of Nelson is a D1 hooper but if he wanted to pursue football he could be a quarterback collegiately. [player_tooltip player_id='1257695' first='Emmit' last='Distefano'] of Thurston was a 1st team all Midwestern League selection, and he could very well be a 5A state POY candidate next season. He put up outstanding numbers, hitting on 65% of his passes with 23 TD's/5 INTs.</p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>University of Portland baseball commit [player_tooltip player_id='937232' first='Kellen' last='Bowman'] broke all kinds of records for South Salem last year, finishing with 3,214 yards (#1 in Oregon). Last but not least, [player_tooltip player_id='936850' first='Hank' last='Whitworth'] of Westview who has been hurt but is a legit dual threat QB. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Closing with the lineman we look at 6-0 245-pound [player_tooltip player_id='2054807' first='Colton' last='Lucas'] of Sandy who was the Mt Hood Conference lineman of the year and a 1st team all-state selection. Give a lot of credit to the undersized standout in a tough conference. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Speaking of POY's [player_tooltip player_id='1591863' first='Brock' last='Sahlfeld'] made one of the biggest jumps on the PRZ rankings board moving 30+ spots. He was the Pacific Conference O lineman of the year during Glencoe's run this past season. 6-4 260-pound tackle [player_tooltip player_id='1591706' first='Preston' last='Powell'] of Westview probably projects the highest collegiately. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Other all conference lineman include 6-4 tackle [player_tooltip player_id='1358907' first='Alex' last='Lydgate'] of Lincoln who earned 1st team honors and has a real shot to play at the next level, and [player_tooltip player_id='936891' first='Caleb' last='Klein'] of Lakeridge who had a super impressive season at center racking up 2nd team all TRL accolades. 6-7 big man [player_tooltip player_id='887126' first='Landon' last='Fray'] of Gresham has continued to make improvements and earned all-league honors as well this past season. </p>

<p>Defensively there are bunch of guys who could project to a high level of collegiate ball with continued progression. <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>At the LB spot multiple dudes had standout seasons. 6-3 OLB [player_tooltip player_id='1426821' first='Peyton' last='Daffern Schell'] was a big reason for Milwaukie's success leading the league in sacks and garnering 1st team all-league honors. OLB/DE [player_tooltip player_id='1569381' first='Levi' last='Klostreich'] of Sherwood was a back-to-back 1st team all-Pacific Conference selection, finishing with 6 sacks and 8 TFL's on the year. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1119889' first='Pena' last='Moors'] of West Albany played varsity ball as a freshman with [player_tooltip player_id='1566150' first='Cohen' last='Trump'] and [player_tooltip player_id='937084' first='Gavin' last='Thaut'] both being instrumental for their teams during the year. Trump once again put up some of the best stats in Oregon averaging just under 10 tackles per game. Thaut is an outstanding baseball player and was also an honorable mention all TRL pick. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='937031' first='Drew' last='Newbury'] of Nelson had one of the best seasons of any LB in the state, racking up 1st team all Mt Hood accolades. <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Two defenders who are pound for pound two of the best players in Oregon are [player_tooltip player_id='1566153' first='Mason' last='Frederickson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='937297' first='Gracyn' last='Fitch'] of Sandy. Frederickson is a 2x 1st team all Mt Hood pick who earned 3rd team all-state honors with 74 tackles, 10 PBU's, and 3 INTs. Fitch played LB at 5-10 175 pounds and garnered a 1st team selection. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Other DB's who got in the mix and killed it include [player_tooltip player_id='937036' first='Lincoln' last='Teeney'] of Silverton who was named the Mid-Willamette Conference Defensive POY while helping his team to the 5A title. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='937116' first='Jackson' last='Morris'] of Tigard went somewhat under the radar with Tigard finishing 1-8, but he had a phenomenal season being named an all-conference corner. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Two other individuals in the secondary who need to be mentioned include baseball standout Cam Thomas of Sheldon and 6-3 Safety/Kicker [player_tooltip player_id='1521151' first='Sorne' last='Olson'] of Hillsboro. Thomas earned all conference honors again totaling 25 tackles and 2 INTs with OIson being one of the best DB's at the 5A level and racking up 1st team accolades. </p>
