Frederickson is a really solid-looking safety prospect who does a lot of things well on film. He has good size for the position and plays with the range and instincts you want to see on the back end. What stood out most was how comfortable he looked in zone coverage while still being willing to come downhill and help in the run game. He moves well in space and looks like a player who understands what is going on around him. Frederickson feels like one of those dependable defensive backs who could continue trending upward heading into his senior year.

Frederickson once again earned first-team honors after another productive season, finishing with 54 tackles and two interceptions. His instincts, range, and physicality helped anchor Sandy’s defense.

On offense, he contributed two receptions for 34 yards and two carries for 32 more, finishing the night as one of the game’s most active players. His versatility and leadership have been key to Sandy’s strong conference showing.

Junior Frederickson was a menace in the secondary as a sophomore, tallying 80 tackles, two interceptions, and two forced fumbles. He also amassed over 400 kick return yards. “Mason is explosive and physical with a nonstop motor,” Dill said. “He’ll see significant time on offense this year, and we’ll lean on his game-breaking speed.”

Frederickson is a smart, well-rounded safety who shows strong instincts and an excellent feel for positioning in the secondary. He plays with good range and closes quickly on the ball, whether in coverage or coming downhill to make a tackle. His tackling form is reliable, and he brings physicality in run support without sacrificing control.
