Lucas could be the centerpiece of Sandy’s roster in the trenches. The returning offensive lineman is coming off a tremendous junior season that saw him earn First Team All-State honors, Mount Hood Conference Lineman of the Year, and First Team All-Mount Hood Conference recognition. Now, after getting stronger and more athletic during the offseason, Lucas will be relied upon to anchor both the offensive and defensive lines. Dill described him simply as a “dominant player” for the Pioneers, and his presence up front will be one of the biggest advantages Sandy brings into 5A.

Lucas is one of the more polished offensive linemen in the state from a skillset standpoint, showing strong athleticism and the ability to move well in space. He played tackle at the high school level but projects inside due to limited length, where his pulling ability and second-level movement will really shine. He consistently shows good body control and strength, allowing him to be effective in both phases of the game. While his frame may limit higher-level upside, his film is as strong as almost any lineman in Oregon. Projects as a high-priority D3 recruit with the tools to make an early impact, but would not be surprised if he got love from some local D2 programs.

Lucas continued his development into a reliable interior lineman for Sandy. He played with good balance and strength, helping stabilize the line and support a physical rushing attack.
