Oregon 5A Preseason All State 1st + 2nd Team "O"

Per usual, the Preseason All-State teams will be heavily influenced by projected team success and not just recruitment of the player. If your team doesn't win, it will be extremely difficult to earn all state accolades. If you are an individual who racks up all state honors even without your program winning, that's an impressive feat. NWOC Player of the Year and 1st team all-state QB [player_tooltip player_id='1359052' first='Trevor' last='Glos'] of Wilsonville is right there with him after throwing 40 TDs with 2,750 passing yards last year.    1st team all-league quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1257695' first='Emmit' last='Distefano'] returns at Thurston as well, after having one of the best seasons statewide on the camp circuit. Look for him to break a few conference records.    The Wildcats of Wilsonville get maybe the biggest transfer statewide in WR/DB [player_tooltip player_id='1242623' first='Cavan' last='Rogers'] of Oregon City who was already a top 10 prospect for the 2027 class. Look for him to put up some video game like numbers, opposite D1 recruit [player_tooltip player_id='1474331' first='Ben' last='Wiepert'], with Glos distributing ball. Wiepert will be the favorite for Oregon 5A Defensive POY honors.    [player_tooltip player_id='2088959' first='Cooper' last='Cousin'] of Canby led the state in multiple receiving categories last season, finishing with 48 receptions for 1,198 yards and 13 TDs. 6-4 195-pound [player_tooltip player_id='1956192' first='Jora' last='Atwal'] is a legit division 1 prospect as well with his speed on both sides of the football. He has continued to kill it on the camp circuit.    [player_tooltip player_id='937297' first='Gracyn' last='Fitch'] of Sandy is another athlete who has been relatively dominant against 6A competition and should have a player of the year type season in 5A.    RB [player_tooltip player_id='1591745' first='Ryder' last='Carpenter'] is a division 1 baseball guy who also went for 2000+ yards last season and will get the ball often for the state's #1 projected team. Dallas RB [player_tooltip player_id='1878396' first='Aidan' last='Galusha'] has 10.9 speed, just landing his first D1 offer. He could be the POY in the conference on both sides of the football and was last year's Mid-Willamette Conference D lineman of the year.    The TE group is maybe the best it's ever been in the state of Oregon. Washington St commit [player_tooltip player_id='1684534' first='Jettson' last='Gillam'] has blown up as expected. He will be one of the primary reasons Mountain View is a state title favorite. 6-7 Colorado St commit [player_tooltip player_id='2088972' first='Luke' last='Brainard'] of Wilsonville is another guy who we will watch on TV for the next ½ decade.    2028 TE Prospect [player_tooltip player_id='2106040' first='Leofatu' last='Filipe'] of Thurston should be considered a major D1 prospect who will likely have double digit offers by seasons end.    On the offensive front you have multiple guys who will end up playing division 1 ball, led by Summit 2028 interior lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1609771' first='Peter' last='Stanley'], who currently holds offers from the likes of Cal, Oregon St, and Washington St. His teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1593163' first='Ben' last='Goalen'] has some of the best film in the region and earned 1st team all-conference honors last season. It will be a battle between them and crosstown rival Mountain View for the state's #1 ranking with 6-6 270-pound tackle [player_tooltip player_id='2090565' first='Brady' last='Nichols'] projected to have a big year.    The reigning state champs at Silverton bring back two of the top underclassmen in Oregon with incoming juniors [player_tooltip player_id='2105987' first='Mark' last='Bailey'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2106007' first='Cal' last='Kofstad']. Bailey is a D1 guy and will likely be a 1st team all-state lineman and the state player of the year at some point. The 6-4 Kofstad was an all-conference lineman as a sophomore and has had a great offseason, performing well at the Northwest Showcase.    Maybe the most impressive lineman last season was the 6-0 255-pound [player_tooltip player_id='2054807' first='Colton' last='Lucas'] of Sandy who was named 1st team all-state and the Mt Hood lineman of the year against top 6A talent. Look for him to dominate 5A competition.
