Distefano led No. 8 Thurston to a 34-16 victory over rival Churchill. The senior quarterback found the end zone three times through the air and added another touchdown on the ground, giving Thurston the offensive spark it needed to win the rivalry matchup. Distefano’s ability to produce both as a passer and runner kept the Churchill defense on its heels throughout the night. It was a great performance for the George Fox commit.

Distefano is one of the more complete quarterbacks in Oregon’s 2027 class. He operates comfortably within the structure of an offense, makes good decisions, and consistently keeps the chains moving. What separates him is his ability to recognize when a play breaks down and transition into a playmaker, using both his mobility and arm talent to play off-script. He shows poise in the pocket and rarely appears rushed, even when facing pressure. Distefano’s balanced skill set gives him a strong foundation as he continues to develop.
