On the other sideline, Bowman made Oregon high school football history. The South Salem quarterback threw for an incredible 692 yards, setting the state record for passing yards in a single game. He added five touchdowns through the air, keeping the Saxons in the fight until the very end. Even in defeat, Bowman’s performance was one of the most memorable ever seen on an Oregon field.

Our second South Salem player is their new quarterback this season, Kellen, who had a great year statistically. Kellen looked strong out there as a sophomore and will only continue to get better. Their conference was extremely tough this year, and Kellen was able to still put up big numbers. Kellen will be an exciting player to watch develop.
