When it comes to TEs, and some WRs, size is a huge advantage. Being able to overpower a DB to create space or simply go over the top of them with their big catch radius and strong hands. Having the ability to be open even when separation isn't initially there is such an advantage for the offense. Trying to figure out how to match up on these big bodies is tough for the defense too. Do you put speed on them? Do you put size on them? Either way they are usually sacrificing one for the other, giving the offensive player the advantage. On Sunday we had quite the collection of futures TE standouts and big-bodied WRs. These are the focus of today! Coaches, these are going to be guys to get on your radars for the coming years.
Coaches, get excited about this kid. Emmett is a freshman TE oozing with potential. 4.94 40 speed, 4.5 shuttle, 8'10" broad at 6'2" 200 lbs, and running a 7.06 L-Drill. Emmett already is showing excellent fluidity in his movements and overall athleticism. He is smooth getting deep downfield, sudden off the line and also flashed some explosive burst out of breaks that consistently opened up space. The freshman TE also did really well playing the ball in the air and catching it with strong hands. I'm very excited about the potential of Emmett. He is a 2029 to know.

Xander is a fun weapon to watch and project to the next level. He looks like a future TE/WR hybrid. Someone you can use all over the field to create mismatches. The 190 lbs junior has 10" hands, ran 4.94 in the 40, had the best shuttle at 4.01, jumped 9'4", and ran 7.06 in the L-Drill. The 2027 brings an elite blend of size and short area agility, burst, and balance. The big target can win with power, leverage, and positioning on one pass attempt and the next leave the DB looking the wrong way because of the sudden route running he brings to the field. Xander is one of the top at his position and a name to watch closely this summer.

The sophomore WR is coming off a 2nd Team All Conference performance in 2025. Evan is rolling that momentum into the early offseason with his Showcase efforts. The potential of the WR/TE is special. He has a 6'5" wingspan, and a massive 10.5" hands. The big athlete crushed the L-Drill too, running 6.69 and 7.06. Being that big and long, yet still having the body control, acceleration, and flexibility to put up those numbers is a rare feat. Evan is on his way to establishing himself as one of the big-bodied athletes to keep an eye on over the next few years.

An under the radar recruit at TE is 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1812048' first='Logan' last='Zirbel']. The junior has that traditional frame for the position. He has a 6'5" frame to match the wingspan and has filled out well, carrying 210 lbs. The big man has big mitts to secure catches with 10" hands to. Logan fits the mold of a traditional TE. One who can contribute consistently in the run game with his size and power then also win in the redzone and short passing game where he can use his size to his advantage. I can see Logan being a target of the D3 level across the state and could go higher with even better numbers this summer.

The best big-bodied weapon of the day was East Troy's [player_tooltip player_id='1992201' first='Connor' last='Sickler']. The massive target had a great combine. He checked in at 190 lbs with a 6'6" wingspan and 10" hands. The massive weapon ran a 4.72 40, 4.47 shuttle, jumped 9'1", and ran a 6.97 L-Drill. The big man is a serious mismatch out wide. He can stretch the field and moss DBs downfield with his leaping ability and catch radius. Connor is far more than that though. He can win at every level and he can win in a wide variety of ways. Sheer size, power to box out, and some impressively smooth routes for his size. The way this junior can move at his size is special. Get on this future steal, today. Don't wait.

I was excited to see Charlie on the list of attendees for the Showcase. The 2028 is a standout on the basketball court and starting to establish himself on the gridiron too. He has a budding frame at 6'4" 170 lbs, 10" hands, ran a 5.09 40, 4.32 shuttle, and a 6.87 L-Drill. That basketball background shines going up against DBs. He attacks the ball like a rebound, boxing out the DB and using that elite length to easily make the catch while keeping the defender at bay. The sophomore is another special recruit with a long frame that has learned how to move fluidly and efficiently. Get him on your boards and keep an eye on how he continues to grow.

This kid is just starting to scratch the surface of what he could be by the time he graduates. Nehemiah has an elite frame for the WR/TE position. 6'4", 195 lbs, 6'5" wingspan, 4.97 40, 4.59 shuttle, and 7.22 L-Drill. The long-striding sophomore can get downfield in a hurry and he understands his size advantage and uses it to go get the ball at the high point. I think he can get even more dominant and strong at the catch point. He is also just starting to learn how to win with route running. The short area agility is there for him to utilize. Big things ahead for Nehemiah.

Another intriguing weapon starting to realize his potential is Regis' [player_tooltip player_id='1792046' first='Griffin' last='Boda']. The WR/TE is a long, lean weapon 6'4" 185 lbs with a 6'4" wingspan. He ran a 5.25 40, 4.63 shuttle, and jumped 8'5". The varsity athlete has clutch performances under his belt from this past season. On Sunday he further verified the dominance he could provide. High pointing the ball, eating up yards with those long strides, tracking the ball with ease. Boda is a weapon on the rise.

I have a feeling Benjamin is working towards a breakout season in 2026. Only one Arrowhead WR returns in 2026 who had more production than Ben in 2025. So it will be his time to shine. The sophomore WR is using the early offseason to build up steam. He has a prototypical frame with length and big hands. Ben is a smooth athlete too. He glides around the field and can make some effective cuts, jukes, and breaks to create space. On Sunday Prescher ran a 4.88 in the 40 and 4.45 in the shuttle. The tools are there to develop and grow. His time is here.

Pierre had a great day, ending it by being selected as one of the top performers for the TE position. The sophomore is another enticing weapon with a high ceiling. He has an elite 6'7" wingspan, telling me that he could continue to grow to match that number. Pierre caught everything on Sunday, quickly grabbing the attention of myself and coaches. He is learning how to use his size to his advantage and also showing some savvy route running. The underclassman figured out how to win while not being the best athlete of the group. If he can make strides with his athleticism and maintain that smart route running Pierre could turn himself into a serious weapon.

We wrap the article up with one last big, strong TE prospect. The underclassman out of De Pere has an impressive frame that is loaded up with power. He checked in with a 6'5" wingspan at 205 lbs with 10.5" hands. The big man also ran a solid 7.25 and 7.28 L-Drill showing that while he might be developing his long speed Charles has that short area quickness to help him get open. Obviously the big, strong frame is the main focus of his success out wide, but being able to cut and change direction at his size gives him an advantage. Keep an eye on Charles over the next two years.
