Section VI Playoff Scenarios Heading into Week 8

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class AA</h2>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>In Class AA, all 7 teams make the playoffs</li> </ul>   The game to watch this week will be the Bennett Tigers, led by breakout RB [player_tooltip player_id='747256' first='Jimmy' last='Valentine'] going against Orchard Park and another breakout runner in [player_tooltip player_id='814985' first='Jherek' last='Breske']. The winner of this game will get the #1 seed and a first round bye. If Orchard Park were to win, Bennett would go to #2 as the Tigers are previously unbeaten. But if Bennett wins, Orchard may go to #2 or 3, depending what happens in the Lockport/Jamestown game.   Jamestown with two way stud [player_tooltip player_id='1241972' first='Chase' last='Bonta'] is heavily favored against the Lockport Lions this week so how the chips fall here will be dependent on the Bennett & Orchard Park game.   Lancaster with first year QB [player_tooltip player_id='1719800' first='Matthew' last='King'] are done with league play this year. Because they lost a tough one to Bennett last week, their fate lies in the hands of the previous two games that were mentioned. A Bennett & Lockport win will put the Legends as the #2 seed while any other scenario will give them the 3rd or 4th seed.   Niagara Falls with dual threat QB [player_tooltip player_id='1344791' first='Michael' last='Taylor'] cannot end up any higher than the No. 5 seed but could fall to last place with a loss to Hutch Tech this week.   As expected, the top 4 will be Bennett, Orchard Park, Lancaster and Jamestown (order TBD on Friday). Seeds 5, 6 and 7 will be between Niagara Falls, Lockport and Hutch Tech.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class A</h2>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>In Class A, the Top 4 teams from each division make the playoffs</li> </ul>   Class A1   The top seed in Class A1 will come down to the Week 8 matchup between QB [player_tooltip player_id='806812' first='AJ' last='Weissenburg'] & Williamsville North vs Clarence and their massive OL of [player_tooltip player_id='1624518' first='Kaius' last='Mattoon'], [player_tooltip player_id='806822' first='Ivan' last='Pusloskie'], [player_tooltip player_id='806821' first='Talon' last='Engasser'] & [player_tooltip player_id='1275964' first='Brody' last='Kaufman'].   The Spartans will capture the Class A1 crown with the victory. However, if Clarence wins by 10 points or more, the Red Devils will win the division due to a 3-way tie between Will North, Clarence and West Seneca West. Point differential is a three way tiebreaker. If Clarence wins by less than 10 or loses, the Red Devils will got to the #3 seed.   The team with the highest point differential wins the three-way tiebreaker. Once the winner of the three-way tiebreaker has been determined, the final two teams go to a head-to-head tiebreaker.   West Seneca West led by Freshman phenom QB [player_tooltip player_id='1514651' first='Mason' last='Anderson'] will capture the #3 seed if Clarence wins the division but will go up to #2 if the title goes to Williamsville North.   Kenmore West with top tier RB [player_tooltip player_id='1742088' first='Harlem' last='Brannon'] have clinched the No. 4 seed in a three way tie with 2-4 league record.   Class A2   Class A2 playoff teams are essentially set with Health Sciences, McKinley, Williamsville East and Grand Island all clinching playoff berths. Those 4 teams will be playing each other this week to determine the order.   Health Sciences with their dominating 1-2 RB punch of [player_tooltip player_id='1212763' first='Kaivohn' last='Pitts'] & [player_tooltip player_id='747252' first='Kevin' last='Guy'] get the top seed with a win over Williamsville East.   Williamsville East and their aerial attack led by QB [player_tooltip player_id='1701685' first='Anthony' last='Martis'] can get the top seed with a win but they also need some help from Grand Island who takes on McKinley this week.   Health Sciences has been a force all season long– not only winning but beating opponents by 20 points or more in every game.   There are several variables that come into play but it is expected to be   1. Health Sciences 2. McKinley 3. Williamsville East 4. Grand Island   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class B</h2>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>In Class B, the Top 4 teams from each division make the playoffs</li> </ul>   Class B1   Nothing to analyze here as the Class B1 playoff teams are set and in order   1.      Williamsville South   2.      West Seneca East   3.      Pioneer   4.      South Park   Class B2   Iroquois with their record setting passing attack led by QB [player_tooltip player_id='473979' first='Justus' last='Kleitz'] has clinched the top seed in Class B2.   Lackawanna, Depew and Olean will be the other three teams – the order is to be determined.   The game that will determine the order will be Lackawanna with senior RBs Naseem Dhali and [player_tooltip player_id='1625735' first='Mekhi' last='Scott'] going down south to take on Olean and their efficient QB [player_tooltip player_id='505857' first='Joe' last='Mest']. A win for Lackawanna means they get the No. 2 seed while Depew and junior sensation [player_tooltip player_id='1513348' first='Zach' last='Bridenbaker'] get the No. 3 seed and Olean would get the final playoff spot.   If Olean wins – there would be a 3 way tie between them, Depew and Lackawanna   The team with the highest point differential wins the three-way tiebreaker. Once the winner of the three-way tiebreaker has been determined, it will come down to head to head between the remaining two teams   Olean needs to win by at least four points to get the No. 2 seed. In that case, Lackawanna gets the No. 3 seed and Depew falls to the No. 4 seed.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class C</h2>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>In Class C, the Top 4 teams from each division make the playoffs</li> </ul>   Class C North   Barker/Roy-Hart has clinched the No. 1 seed.   Eden/North Collins with outstanding QB play from [player_tooltip player_id='747255' first='Brady' last='Waring'] and Akron & their sophomore QB [player_tooltip player_id='1952067' first='Cole' last='Siska'] have each clinched playoff berths.   Medina and Maritime/Tapestry who have had dominant rushing attacks with [player_tooltip player_id='1212776' first='Christian' last='Moss'] & [player_tooltip player_id='1624547' first='Jaylin' last='Coleman'] respectively are both in the hunt for the No. 4 seed.   The two games that will be deciding factors this week are Eden/North Collins vs Alden and Maritime/Tapestry vs Barker/Roy-Hart.   If Eden/North Collins wins they move to 5-1, the same record as Akron who has finished up league play. Because those two teams haven't played each other, tiebreaking procedures go to win/loss versus common divisional opponents and point differential. With that, Eden/North Collins will have to win by 17 points or more to get the #2 seed. Then Akron will get #3.   If Eden/North Collins loses, Medina and Maritime/Tapestry could all end up with a 4-2 overall record. Since the Raiders beat both of those teams, they win any kind of tiebreaker with them ensuring that Eden will not fall below the #3 seed.   The final playoff spot will come down to Medina & Maritime/Tapestry.   Medina is done with league play and finished with a 4-2 record and Maritime/Tapestry is 3-2 as they get ready to take on Roy-Hart/Barker.   If Maritime/Tapestry wins, they would move to 4-2 as well. But since Maritime and Medina didn't play each other, the tie breaker goes to win/loss versus common divisional opponents. So simply put, if the Seahawks win, they're in. If not, Medina will get the #4 seed.   Class C South   Southwestern/Frewsburg clinched the top seed in Class C South with a dominating defensive performance this season.   The final three spots will be contested between five other schools, with two already clinching.   Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton with All-WNY QB [player_tooltip player_id='1344653' first='Brayden' last='Gibbs'] and Salamanca, the reigning Class C champions, have clinched postseason berths. They are playing each other week 8 and the winner will host the first round of the playoffs.   CSP with sophomore RB [player_tooltip player_id='1367174' first='Sawyer' last='Whitney'] and senior QB [player_tooltip player_id='1903305' first='Carson' last='White'], who is new to Class C, simply needs to win to get in.   In order for Portville to make the post season, they need to win and have Falconer lose to Southwestern. They can jump to the No. 3 seed if Salamanca loses.   Falconer can get in with a win over Southwestern/Frewsburg and a lot of help. An unlikely scenario but still possible.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class D</h2>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>In Class D, all 8 teams make the playoffs</li> </ul>   The Class D scenario is very simple   1.      Wilson-Newfane winner (Both teams are undefeated and Connolly Cup hopeful [player_tooltip player_id='1624567' first='Mac' last='Capen'] will take on a tough Wilson defense led by [player_tooltip player_id='1344751' first='Brock' last='Lepsch'])   2.      Wilson-Newfane loser   3.      Gowanda/PV-Randolph winner (Gowanda QB [player_tooltip player_id='1246845' first='Carter' last='Capozzi'] will look to cap off his impressive high school career with a deep playoff run)   4.      Gowanda/PV-Randolph loser   5.      Franklinville/Ellicottville-Silver Creek/Forestville winner   6.      Franklinville/Ellicottville-Silver Creek/Forestville loser   7.      Allegany-Limestone/Hinsdale-Catt Little Valley winner   8.      Allegany-Limestone/Hinsdale-Catt Little Valley loser
