We're at the midway point of the season in the blink of an eye, and we'll be highlighting prospects who have produced midseason highlight tapes. Colleges will evaluate prospect film from the midpoint of the season to assess their progress this season, as they update their recruiting boards. Here are some DL prospects to check out with midseason highlight tapes that we didn't cover from the First 3/4 games spotlight series!

One of the best defensive line prospects in West Virginia is 2026 Woodrow Wilson DL [player_tooltip player_id='897574' first='Jamarques' last='Manns']. He has a D1 ceiling in our eyes and is deserving of offers from that level. Manns has the ideal size, athleticism, and explosiveness that D1 programs are looking for in defensive linemen and has shown the ability on the field at the halfway point of the season. Mann's midseason tape is a must-watch for colleges, and he should begin to see some offers rolling in if they get their eyes on it.

[player_tooltip player_id='1605367' first='Chase' last='Riggs'] is a talented and underrated two-way lineman for the Winfield Generals who colleges need to check out at the midseason point. He could project to either side of the line at the next level and has done some good things at both spots throughout his career. Riggs is ranked as a Top 20 defensive lineman for now, but the bulk of his film from this season is along the offensive line, a position that he naturally fits at as well. Riggs has D2 potential in our eyes and is an under-the-radar 2026 prospect for colleges to check out.

2027 Cabell Midland prospect [player_tooltip player_id='920539' first='Eli' last='Thompson'] is ranked as the #2 defensive lineman in his class, but has moved back to linebacker this season for the Knights. Playing that position well at his size is impressive, and proves that he has the athleticism to play DE/EDGE at the D1 level. Thompson is also doing a nice job at tight end on offense as a bully of a blocker. That versatility will give him positional options in college, as Thompson should be very intriguing to D1 programs.

2027 Morgantown DL [player_tooltip player_id='1326483' first='Chase' last='Travis'] is always a consistent presence along the Mohigans' defensive line and has continued that halfway through his junior year. He packs a serious bunch behind his 5'11 230 frame and consistently beats bigger offensive linemen. Travis is showcasing his high motor, which he's had since his underclassman days, and gives full effort on every rep. He does a great job of getting off blocks and pursuing the ball, which speaks to his energy and effort levels.

We touched on 2027 Wheeling Park DL/EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='1880866' first='Jake' last='Franke'] earlier this season, and he's continued to be a steady player for the Patriots at the midway point of the season. They like to rotate their defensive linemen a lot, but Franke seems to make the most of his reps when they come. His reps to production ratio is high, which speaks to his ability and effort, as he can stay fresh throughout games. Franke can align in a variety of roles, anywhere from the interior to a wide 9-tech, which is where we see him playing in college.

A 2028 prospect who we've been high on since ranking him as the #2 EDGE in his class this summer, and is doing a nice job in his sophomore year, is South Charleston's [player_tooltip player_id='1700973' first='Miles' last='Terry']. He's made an impact on both sides of the ball as a TE and DE, and has made strides physically in year two. Terry has upside at both positions, but has the potential to develop into a high-level pass rusher in time. If he steadily progresses over the next two years, he could join his teammates in receiving D1 recognition.
