Mountain State Midseason OL Film Evaluations (Pt. 2)

Colleges will evaluate prospect film from the midpoint of the season to assess their progress this season, as they update their recruiting boards. He has the frame and athleticism to play at the D1 level and just received his first offer from Akron. Watts has developed a nasty streak on the field as well and is showing up as a junior. In fact, he just picked up his first offer from Akron as we're writing this article, with more to come in the future. He's taken over at center this season for the Black Eagles and is doing a great job at that position. Bausey is tailor-made for that spot with his frame and athleticism, as he can execute any blocking assignment. As the Knights have moved back to their traditional Wing-T offense, Armstead is anchoring the line at an important position in that scheme. He's done a great job of growing into his 6'3 frame over the past two years, which has translated to increased physicality up front. You could see last season, as a sophomore, why his coaches believe he's possibly the best offensive lineman to come through the school, and Dahl has continued to prove it this season. He has the footwork and fundamentals to earn some serious college looks in the future and is a definite scholarship-level talent. He'll jump out to you right away with his imposing 6'8 290 frame that will garner college interest alone. Waxler is expectedly raw as a player as he continues to learn how to use his size efficiently and effectively while feeling more comfortable moving at that length. The strength of competition will benefit young players in the program, like Faircloth, once they're upperclassmen, with the experience of being thrown into the fire early on. His strength and power are showing up on film at the midway point of the season against some of the best teams in the state. He's continuing to make an impact on both sides of the line for the Beavers and has upside at both positions as a prospect. He looks bigger and stronger on film this season for the Knights with the way that he's moving defenders around. They can move him to either side of the line to showcase his alignment versatility.
