Michigan’s Class of 2027 – Underrated RBs

We saw it a bit last season during the state championship, and he's continued his streak of high-effort, physical play on both sides of the ball. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">If you need a fullback- here's your guy. Extremely physical football player. Able and willing to lower a shoulder and fight for extra yards. High motor. Great effort as an outside linebacker as well. Ideal college fullback.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Plus, Colton is a good linebacker. Led the offensive charge for Stoney Creek against a very good defense.<br>High volume rusher, and consistently fought through tackles, earning extra yards. Good top speed and good vision. Not super shifty, but an above-average athlete with above-average strength and good physicality. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Also a factor on defense. Mostly at receiver, sometimes at RB. All-around an efficent football player. An above-average athlete who does a good job staying balanced through contact. Good top speed and promising vision in the open field. I thought he was a solid role player for Clarkston during their week 1 matchup against Belleville. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>His <a href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/20725886/68c714ad1b6bea044000bfc2">midseason highlights</a> showcase his skillset pretty well. Ty has been highly effective at DB, doing a great job at squeezing in on quick passes to his side of the field. Love what I see in regards to reaction time, physicality, and overall confidence. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Additionally, he's made the most of his big-play opportunities on both sides of the ball. He logged a big-time INT and return against Harper Woods, and he's used his vision to break a few explosive runs as an RB. He's proving to be an all-around athlete. Spending time primarily at WR and RB, Tatum has been a massive open field threat. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I still need to dive a little deeper into Tatum's tape, but I am impressed so far. I like his vision in the open field, and I think he has some of the best contact balance on his team.
