Colton is a player that just churns out yards every week at a very impressive clip. Colton is a workhorse running back for the martians of Goodrich and has carry the team to another undefeated regular season. Colton is a big tough nosed running back that has excellent vision and refuses to go down on first contact. Colton does a good job of executing the offense that Goodrich has installed and is the perfect back to the system there. I suspect Colton and his team are poised to make a deep run into the playoffs and Colton will be a catalyst that churns the offense for Goodrich and will have a major effect on the success of the Martians as the playoffs get rolling.

I am not sure any offense is more reliant on one player that Goodrich is with Colton and despite knowing he is going to tote the rock defenses have no answer for him. Colton is the poster child for a bell cow running back and Colton delivers. Colton has very good speed and vision as he runs with patience behind a massive offensive line. But what really seperate’s Colton from a lot of other backs is the power he runs with. It’s not very often Colton goes down on first contact and he generally is dragging defenders down the field as he fights for additional yards. Goodrich is off to a 5-0 start and its no secret why. Keep an eye on Colton to get even better as the weather turns cold and he see’s additional carries in the Martians offense.

Colton was an absolute treat to watch Thursday tote the rock for the martians. This Goodrich’s star running back was as good as advertised. I was shocked with the physicality Colton runs with. Colton has several plays on Thursday where he was contacted with in a yard of the line of scrimmage and ran through or in some cases over the would be tackler. Colton has a big sturdy frame and he runs behind his pads as well as any back I have seen. I was also impressed with Coltons ability to stay patient and allow his offensive line time to get on there blocks as Colton shows good vision as well setting up his blocks. Colton will be relied upon heavily this year and the bell cow back is set to have a monster year for the martians.

The run game for Goodrich is an absolute staple, and Colton fits the system perfectly. His tape tells the tale-he’s a physical powerhouse of a running back that absolutely thrives between the tackles. His strong lower half allows him to drive his knees and continue to push forward. He’s a one cut guy who gets up field and maximizes his touches. Colton is an absolute workhouse who is also a productive LB/DE, showing off his versatility and incredible stamina.

Colton is a massive part of this Goodrich team. We saw it a bit last season during the state championship, and he’s continued his streak of high-effort, physical play on both sides of the ball.

If you need a fullback- here’s your guy. Extremely physical football player. Able and willing to lower a shoulder and fight for extra yards. High motor. Great effort as an outside linebacker as well. Ideal college fullback.

Plus, Colton is a good linebacker. All-around extremely physical player, and someone that colleges should love this offseason.

Another Burnett is up and coming from Goodrich! Watching him in person and on film, I have noted just how physical and punishing he is as a runner. He has no problem being a bell cow back, or just being a lead blocking FB blazing a trail for his teammates.

Colton has good vision that he uses to exploit creases, and then he explodes through. He doesn’t have tremendous speed or insane open field moves, but he has the strength to run through arm tackles, and lower his shoulder to move right through weaker defenders. He does a great job of dragging tacklers that go too high on him and keeps his legs churning. I really like what he can do between the tackles and hope to see him continue to build his speed to make him an all around threat out of the backfield!
