I couldn't miss this matchup. Even with better games (on paper) in the Detroit area, I could not pass up an evaluation of Northview and Catholic Central.

Northview has upgraded its talent in the past couple of years, and they have a number of excellent non-seniors who will be great college football players. Then, there's Catholic Central- the West Michigan powerhouse that always has a supreme amount of talent.

Odin confirmed a lot of what I've seen on hudl and Twitter. First off, Odin has gained a significant amount of muscle in the past year- always great to see.

Plus, every single category looks better. Better arm, more accurate, better processor, better mechanics, and much more confident. While he's made noticeable and significant improvements in these areas, I still think there's plenty of room for growth.

In short, I feel that Odin's release and throw power can be more consistent. He's got a solid arm, but the ball sometimes gets out of his hand with much slower velocity (unrelated to where he's throwing).

I'm very bullish on Odin. Another great offseason, and Odin should propel himself into being a legit college prospect. I still see a D2 floor and a G5 ceiling.

Judah has the highest ceiling of anyone in this article. He's a 6'1" freshman who is an extremely fluid, natural athlete. A few great routes in warm-ups, and earned quite a few offensive snaps (≈60% if I had to guess). A couple of catches, and did a good job trying to earn RAC.

It seemed like Judah really, really wanted to be out there every play. I could see visible frustration when he was subbed out, and excitement when it was his time to come in.
Super promising player. Most of the time, great athletic traits + visible competitiveness usually = a future college prospect. By college prospect, I mean D2 at an absolute minimum. I'll need to see a bit more from Judah, but I don't think Power 4 is out of the question if he keeps on improving.

Tommy is someone I caught a glimpse of during the offseason. In short, my opinion has not changed.

Phenomenal size, good power, and just missing a bit of agility and fundamental polish. Though I was impressed with his all-around run blocking- one area that I wasn't able to see back in May.

At this point, I'd be pretty shocked if Tommy wasn't eventually a D2 prospect. He's got the size and enough polish + agility to earn a spot in the GLIAC. With a phenomenal offseason, I could see teams in the MAC taking notice.

Braylon was exactly on par with what I'm used to with him. Not a ton of passing volume, but I think he did a solid job in the few throws I did see. When it came to throwing the football, I thought Braylon did well. Very few mistakes, all throws catchable, and he looked calm and collected throughout. The GRCC defense did a great job getting to Braylon, and I do suspect the opposing defense was a bit faster than what he's used to.

Excuse me for the lack of detail with these prospects, but I thought they all deserved a shoutout.

Tidd, Thomas, Snip, and Fox are all GRCC underclassmen who I strongly feel are on their way to be D2 prospects at a minimum. Tidd, Snip, and Fox are all fluid athletes and very competitive players. Thomas has great size for the IOL, and thought he moved extremely well for a freshman. I'm extremely optimistic about the young talent at Grand Rapids Catholic Central!
