The Catholic League is Full of outstanding athletes in every position. In this article we take a look at five duo's who have showcased their talent this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='939944' first='Sean' last='Carnevale']/[player_tooltip player_id='1649146' first='Michael' last='Genovese']/[player_tooltip player_id='606305' first='Sean' last='Powers']: QB-WR-WR, Chaminade

Now I know I said Duo's, but both WR's have feasted from the Chaminade QB this season. Powers has over 300 yards, and Genovese has over 150. We saw all three playmakers in their game against Archbishop Stepinac. Throughout the game, the trio combined for 141 out of the 162 passing yards Carnevale had. The trio has led Chaminade to a 3-2 record through five games this season, and have scored over 24 points in 4/5 games. With Genovese and Carnevale returning, look for them to create a deadly connection that should rank amongst the top of the Catholic League.

[player_tooltip player_id='1283757' first='Bryce' last='Moye']/[player_tooltip player_id='1278754' first='Braxton' last='Moye']: QB-WR, Monsignor Farrell

The Moye Brothers, might just be the best twins in NY. As Only Sophomores, the brothers are tearing up the Catholic League and have led Monsignor Farrell to a 4-1 record through the first part of 2025. Other playmakers, like [player_tooltip player_id='805722' first='Kevin' last='Gumb Jr'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1397417' first='Cole' last='Savino'], have also massively contributed to the success of the Lions this season but the twins success can't go unnoticed. Bryce has nine touchdowns in five games, while his brother Braxton has three along with 217 yards receiving. As Underclassmen this is extremely impressive. The Lions and Coach RDP have a bright future on Offense

[player_tooltip player_id='1630235' first='Anthony' last='Diieso']/[player_tooltip player_id='425629' first='Xavier' last='Bala']: QB-RB, St. Anthony's

[player_tooltip player_id='425629' first='Xavier' last='Bala'] is the top Rb in the Catholic League. The 2027 RB, is a national recruit and holds over 17 offers from P4 colleges across the country. Through five games, he has 581 yards and four touchdowns, while averaging over 160 yards per game. On the other hand, [player_tooltip player_id='1630235' first='Anthony' last='Diieso'] is a first year start for the Friars. The Sophomore has a decent stat line of 767 yards and two touchdowns. The success of Diieso and St. Anthony's through the air, allows the run and [player_tooltip player_id='425629' first='Xavier' last='Bala'] to flourish.

[player_tooltip player_id='735876' first='Julian' last='Guzman']/[player_tooltip player_id='1001144' first='Crew' last='Davis']: QB-RB, Iona Prep

Both [player_tooltip player_id='735876' first='Julian' last='Guzman'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1001144' first='Crew' last='Davis'] are heading to P4 schools next season. Guzman is committed to Maryland for baseball, and his skills on the diamond translate to the gridiron, with his quick release and fast throws. At the RB position, we have [player_tooltip player_id='1001144' first='Crew' last='Davis']. Davis is one of the prized possessions in the 2026 recruiting class for Bill Belichick and UNC. The tow seniors lead a stacked offense, that has yet to lose this season. Davis is deadly in both the running and passing game, while Guzman can hit his WR's, and escape the pocket for big gains. With these two playmakers, Iona Prep and Coach Spagnolo, have field days on offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1271411' first='John' last='Smith']/[player_tooltip player_id='505860' first='Julani' last='Graham']: RB-RB, Archbishop Stepinac

The Dual headed Snake in the Archbishop Stepinac backroom is the last duo we will break down. We saw the deadly RB duo two weeks ago against Chaminade, and boy did they deliver. The duo combined for 207 yards, and had one touchdown on thirty carries. Despite the loss, both RB's made their mark and showcased how deadly the run game for Stepinac is. While using the run a lot becomes easier to stop, the Crusaders have star WR's like [player_tooltip player_id='1208805' first='Jordyn' last='Eaton'], and Richie Demarco, forcing a defense to not only focus on the run. Graham is a player new to my radar after his performance, as he showcased incredible toughness, and strength throughout the game. Both backs are Seniors, but Stepinac sits at 3-2 this season and can use them both for a deep playoff run.
