He has plenty of room to grow, being only a Freshman, and the St.Anthony's prospect, also displays some versatility with the ability to play on the offensive line if he were to grow and gain weight. Wood had a solid showcase in Warwick, and displayed flashes of potential. In his combine portion, he was a solid tester ranking in the middle of the pack. In 1v1 Drills, and Indy, he displayed good footwork, with the ability to move with a quick burst of speed. I did not see many coverage reps of him, which is a mistake on my part, but nothing egregious stood out from the lB side in those reps regardless. Wood has a bright future ahead of him, and can easily be a top playmaker in the CHSFL in a few years.

Welch was one of the older Linebacker in attendance in Warwick, and will be entering his Junior Season in the Fall. The 2028 Prospect, measured in at 5'9" 172-Pounds, displaying a thinner build for a LB. He can benefit from gaining weight and reaching the 190+ Pound mark to helpful out his build. Welch had a solid performance, but his footwork and balance caught my eye. There were a few reps where his footwork was exceptional, and others where he made some mistakes. Consistency is key as he moves through High School. In Indy, his balance while attacking RB's also requires some attention, as without it he can whiff on a lot of tackles or big hits. Overall Welch was solid in Warwick, and has a few things he can work on, but the future is bright for the Section Nine LB.

Parks is a player who wants to continue to improve in every rep. He attended our Stock Up Showcase in New Jersey, and also stopped in New York. Parks entered the event listed as a LB, which was a mistake, and wanted to compete as a TE due to his status as a dual threat player. Parks improved in his combine testing from NJ, in every category but broad jump showing he can continue to improve. Early on, there were some drop issues, with Parks, but as the showcase continued he improved with each rep. Parks is an extremely coachable and young playmaker. He measured in at 5'9" 185-Pounds, which is perfect for a LB, but as a TE should look go fill out his build. Parks is a player who will continue to improve if he puts in the work.

Alves was an impressive player in Warwick, the Kennedy Catholic LB, measured in at 5'11" 176-Pounds, displaying a solid build for a LB. To fill out his frame, he should look to reach the 190-Pound mark. Alves displayed some solid speed during the testing portion, along with good footwork. The 2027 Prospect, displayed good footwork, including the ability to change directions, along with a good IQ. Sam was solid across the board, and displayed a high motor through drills. Alves is a rising Senior, who will be a top guy on the Kennedy Catholic Defense.

McIntosh, was the lone athlete competing from Section One, instantly making me want to see him succeed. McIntosh measured in at 5'11" 182-Pounds, as the rising Senior displayed a solid frame. I want to see him reach the 190-Pound mark to fill out his frame. McIntosh was a prospect who I wish I saw more of. McIntosh displayed solid speed and a quick burst. After talking with coaches, he had solid footwork throughout the afternoon, and improved as the showcase progressed. I did not get many notes on him in the coverage portion, but from what I have heard there was nothing egregious from any LB's.

Klffka was one of the younger prospects in attendance in Warwick. The Lancaster Freshman, measured in at 5'11" 210-Pounds displaying an impressive build for a 2029 Athlete. Klaffka displays a versatile frame as well, which allows him to line up as an EDGE rusher and as a LB. When I see a player who can do both I think of Will Anderson. Klaffka has tons of room to improve, and will only get better, and he displayed good footwork, and coverage throughout the showcase. I like him a lot, and in the initial 2029 Rankings, Klaffka will find himself ranked.

Mack was another 2029 Player I enjoyed watching. Mack was on the smaller side of the spectrum, but the 2029 Prospect, played with a high motor, and attacked every rep and drill. Mack measured in at 5'5" 170-Pounds, and has plenty of time to grow, and as a Freshman, is at a solid weight mark. He was a quicker athlete in drills, and got downfield in a hurry, forcing the RB's to make quick decisions. His footwork was solid, but can be improved as he continues to progress. Mack had a solid showcase, and will be a player to watch in the CHSFL soon.

The last LB in attendance was [player_tooltip player_id='2063774' first='James' last='Lynch']. The Port Jervis prospect, measured in at 5'7" 180-Pounds. Being only a rising Sophomore, he has plenty of room to grow and will do so. He displayed a solid build, and has a good size at his age. Projection wise I like the 200+ Pound mark for him but he is already at a good weight for his frame. He was one of the more physical backers in Warwick, and played with a high motor, and an attacking sense through drills and Indy

PRZ NY Stock Up Showcase LB MVP

Your Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase LB MVP is [player_tooltip player_id='2070526' first='Tristan' last='Magro']. He was one of the older prospects in Warwick, and this upcoming season, will be a Senior. The Northport Prospect, measured in at 5'9" 197-Pounds, displaying an excellent build for a Linebacker. The 5'10" 210-Pound mark would be ideal, but it is not necessary for his build. Magro was one of the LB's I got the best look at in Warwick, as he had an impressive showcase. He played big, and displayed a high motor along with solid footwork, which helped him throughout drills. I did not see many coverage reps, but according to the Coaches watching, he had a successful day in the category. Magro find himself unranked which will change in the next update for the 2027 Class.

Prep Redzone NY Stock Up Showcase Articles

Prep Redzone NY Stock Up Showcase: QB Notes Part I, by Cory Lemer

Prep Redzone NY Stock Up Showcase: QB Notes Part II, by Cory Lemer

Prep Redzone NY Stock Up Showcase: QB Notes Part III, by Cory Lemer

Prep Redzone NY Stock Up Showcase: QB Notes Part IV, by Cory Lemer

PRZ NY Stock Up Showcase: Top QB's, by Cory Lemer

Prep Redzone NY Stock Up Showcase: RB Notes, by Cory Lemer

PRZ NY Stock Up Showcase: Top RB's, by Cory Lemer

Prep Redzone NY Stock Up Showcase: WR Notes Part I, by Cory Lemer

Prep Redzone NY Stock Up Showcase: WR Notes Part II, by Cory Lemer

Prep Redzone NY Stock Up Showcase: WR Notes Part III, by Cory Lemer

PRZ NY Stock Up Showcase: Top WR's, by Cory Lemer

Prep Redzone NY Stock Up Showcase: TE Notes, by Cory Lemer

Prep Redzone NY Stock Up Showcase: Lineman Notes Part I, by Cory Lemer

Prep Redzone NY Stock Up Showcase: Lineman Notes Part II, by Cory Lemer

Prep Redzone NY Stock Up Showcase: Lineman Notes Part III, by Cory Lemer

Prep Redzone NY Stock Up Showcase: Lineman Notes Part IV, by Cory Lemer

PRZ NY Stock Up Showcase: Top Offensive Lineman, by Cory Lemer

PRZ NY Stock Up Showcase: Top Defensive Lineman, by Cory Lemer

Prep Redzone NY Stock Up Showcase: Linebacker Notes Part I, by Cory Lemer
