[player_tooltip player_id='1574394' first='Bridge' last='Barrett'] - Senior Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Sulphur

Sulphur looks to remain unbeaten and get a great start on district play when they face Perkins-Tryon on Friday night. The Bulldogs have quite a few different players to keep an eye on this season but senior [player_tooltip player_id='1574394' first='Bridge' last='Barrett'] is definitely near the top of the list. Barrett is coming off a junior season where he was one of the best cover corners in the state. And yet, he still feels underrated across the state for his ability to lock an opposing wide receiver down and also be a ball hawk. This season, Barrett continues to be that dominant part of the Sulphur defense but he's also emerged as a major threat in the receiving game. He's become one of Sulphur's top targets at wide receiver and has become a true two-way threat for the Bulldogs. Barrett should get more recognition across the state but this week's district showdown with the Demons is a big enough stage for the Sulphur senior to shine on either side of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='216547' first='Colton' last='McComb'] - Junior Running Back/Linebacker - Edmond Memorial

Edmond Memorial squares off with Norman North Friday night in the district opener. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='216547' first='Colton' last='McComb'] has emerged as one of the best linebackers in the state and this Bulldog defense might be the best defensive unit in the state. They are certainly in the conversation and now they'll look to slow down Norman North's offense. Last season, McComb had in our opinion, his breakout game in the Norman North match-up. He was just a sophomore and he was one of the best players on the field that night. He plays the game with an endless motor and it's incredibly impressive when you consider the fact that McComb is also playing significant snaps on the offensive side of the ball at running back. McComb finally started earning the attention of P4 college coaches this offseason and the offers started rolling in. The Edmond Memorial junior has firmly established himself as one of the top overall prospects in the state's 2027 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='911962' first='Julius' last='Wilson'] - Senior Wide Receiver - Owasso

Owasso senior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='911962' first='Julius' last='Wilson'] is one of several Owasso seniors that seem to have taken a massive leap forward this season. Through the first three games of the season, Wilson is leading the Rams in receiving. He's emerged as a big play receiver for the Rams and has made some big catches in big moments so far this season. The Rams bounced back from a 0-2 start by winning their last non-district game. Wilson has been incredibly consistent to start this season and in our opinion, he's one of the top 2026 wide receivers in the state. Last season, he made the transition from 3A football to 6A-1 and now, he's backing up all the hype by performing on a big stage. Wilson is also a player to watch because this is the marquee match-up in our opinion. You have high-caliber wide receivers for Owasso going up against a high-caliber Broken Arrow secondary. One side is going to come out on top Friday night and that will be a big key to who wins.

[player_tooltip player_id='402378' first='KD' last='Jones'] - Senior Running Back - Jenks

You could make the argument that Jenks senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='402378' first='KD' last='Jones'] should be a player to watch every single week. But we try to do new players every week and this is without a doubt the biggest game on the Jenks schedule. Jones and the Trojans will host the top-ranked Bixby Spartans Friday and it's an opportunity for Jones and company to make a statement that they are the new team to beat in Class 6A-1. The Jenks senior was the first of several 2026 in-state prospects to reopen their recruitment after the firing of Mike Gundy at Oklahoma State. He instantly becomes the most sought-after recruit in the state's 2026 class. Jones is the ultimate offensive weapon and has been consistently dominant so far this season. He's the state's top running back but don't overlook his abilities as a pass catcher out of the backfield. If he goes off Friday, the Trojans will have a very good chance to pull the win over Bixby.

[player_tooltip player_id='476091' first='Mayor' last='Morgan'] - Senior Running Back - Choctaw

Choctaw will be ready to finally play in front of the home fans for the first time this season when they host Piedmont Friday night. Not only will it be good to be home, but the Yellowjackets will be hungry for a win after back to back tough losses. The Yellowjackets have plenty of names to watch but we have to shine a light on senior running back and Air Force commit [player_tooltip player_id='476091' first='Mayor' last='Morgan'] as he's one of the strongest running backs in Class 6A-2. We've said this in the past but Morgan, in our opinion, is pound for pound one of the toughest ball carriers in the state. The strength is off the charts and the Choctaw senior is very tough to bring down in a one on one situation. The Yellowjackets will be looking to start out district play with a big win. Morgan will be a big part of the offense. Not only does he have the potential to lead 6A-2 in rushing this season but he's also a very underrated weapon for Choctaw in the passing game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1831002' first='Nathan' last='Hobbs'] - Junior Linebacker - Bixby

The last time we watched Bixby in person, it was the season opener against Owasso and we said it then and we'll repeat it now. Junior linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1831002' first='Nathan' last='Hobbs'] was one of the best players on the field and you could make the argument that he was the best defensive player on the field. Hobbs and the Spartans go on the road to face Jenks on Friday night and not only is Hobbs a player to watch but the entire Bixby front seven will be on our radar as they go head to head with a stout Jenks offensive line and a very dynamic running back. Hobbs was all over the football field in that season opener. He made countless tackles and was also an impact player defending the pass. There's a chance that the number of pass breakups that Hobbs had in week zero will be a record by a player in a single game this season. He was literally all over the football field and is definitely a name to keep an eye on in this match-up full of stars.

[player_tooltip player_id='649663' first='Octavian' last='Roberson'] - Junior Running Back - Broken Arrow

Broken Arrow hosts Owasso in one of the marquee games of week four in Class 6A-1. We can't wait to see what junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='649663' first='Octavian' last='Roberson'] is able to do as the Tigers look to take a leg up in the district championship race. In Broken Arrow's last game, a home win over Mustang, Roberson was one of the best players on the field. He's been making plays for the Tigers since his freshman season but that performance over Mustang really opened our eyes about his ability to be a true workhorse running back in this Broken Arrow offense. He finished that game with a ton of carries and broke off some big runs, including Broken Arrow's first touchdown of the 21-14 victory. And talking with some Broken Arrow coaches before the game, it looks like Roberson has turned the page on his career and is ready to take that next step, truly becoming one of the state's top running back prospects in the 2027 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='587262' first='Ricklan' last='B Holmes II'] - Senior Running Back/Linebacker - Del City

Del City hosts Collinsville on Friday night and this was a match-up that the Eagles dominated last season. They went on the road and beat the Cardinals 61-10 and senior standout [player_tooltip player_id='587262' first='Ricklan' last='B Holmes II'] had a big performance in the win. Holmes was outstanding on both sides of the ball, finishing with several touchdowns on offense and multiple tackles behind the line of scrimmage on defense. In our opinion, Holmes is one of the top two-way players in the state, regardless of class and he's firmly established as one of the top linebackers in the state's 2026 class. When we watched this game in person, it looked like Holmes had elevated his overall game and become more of a leader on the field. This season, Holmes is a four-year starter and is looking to once again be considered one of the best players in Oklahoma. There's no doubt that the Del City senior and the rest of the Eagles will be expecting to beat up the Cardinals again.

[player_tooltip player_id='1018641' first='Scott' last='Rigby'] - Senior Running Back - Collinsville

Collinsville senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1018641' first='Scott' last='Rigby'] has picked up right where he left off last season as one of the top running backs in Class 5A. Rigby missed some time during his junior season and was still one of the top rushers in the class in 2024. This season, he's off to another outstanding start. Rigby is so criminally underrated across the state and has been so consistent in this Collinsville offense. We've mentioned this multiple times but Rigby feels like he's as close to a lock for 150 yards and two or three touchdowns every single week. Now, this week will severely test that theory. He's facing a Del City defense that is incredibly talented and does a great job of slowing down the run. The Eagles dominated the Cardinals last season but Rigby missed that game with a shoulder injury. Now, he's back to lead this Collinsville offense and if the Cardinals have a hope of knocking off Del City on the road, they'll need Rigby's A game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1161913' first='Wyatt' last='Atkinson'] - Senior Running Back/Defensive Back - Perkins-Tryon

Perkins-Tryon senior running back and defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='1161913' first='Wyatt' last='Atkinson'] is our final player to watch this week and the Demons will need Atkinson to play at his very best if they are going to take down Sulphur Friday night. We got a chance to watch Atkinson in person a week ago and he was clearly the best player on the football field and we believe he's one of the best athletes in Class 3A. In their week three victory, Atkinson scored three rushing touchdowns, returned a kick for a score and also had a pick six on the defensive side of the ball. This match-up on Friday night feels like it's going to give the winner the leg up in the district title race. Sulphur takes pride in their defense so they'll be geared up to slow down Atkinson. Because the Perkins-Tryon senior is in the conversation among the best players in Class 3A, this is a huge opportunity to have a big performance against one of the best defenses in the state, regardless of class.
