As we approach the final days of the month of September, we have already made it through the first half of the 2025 high school football regular season in the state of Kentucky. With that being said, I will be releasing my Midseason All-State teams for each class. After already covering 6A, I will now turn my attention to 5A, starting with the offensive side of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='227403' first='Mason' last='Griffin'] is off to a very impressive start to his senior year. Through five games, he leads 5A in passing, completing 101/130 passes for 1,392 yards, 17 touchdowns, and only one interception. He is a very accurate passer, showing the ability to put enough zip on his passes to fit them into tight windows where only his intended receiver can catch it. Griffin also throws an impressive deep ball, using his strong arm to lead his receivers down the field with ease. Mason has also carried the ball 18 times for 48 yards so far this season. Griffin currently holds an offer from Pikeville and I expect more to come his way as he definitely has the talent to play quarterback at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='401923' first='Markezz' last='Hightower'] has been on my radar for a while now and has continued to impress as a senior. He is the current 5A rushing leader with 84 carries for 790 yards and 12 touchdowns in five games. Hightower is a strong runner who has shown the ability to lower his shoulder and keep his feet churning while maintaining his balance to break tackles with ease. He has also shown the burst of speed to run away from the defense once he hits the open field. Markezz has also caught seven passes for 62 yards this season. Hightower doesn't currently hold any offers but he is a player who college coaches should have on their radar this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1908428' first='Wes' last='Dowell'] is a player who has jumped onto my radar with a strong start to his senior year. Dowell is a downhill runner out of the backfield who explodes out of his stance and uses his speed to hit the running lane with a sense of urgency then run away from the defense for big gains. Through five games, he leads his team in rushing with 61 carries for 414 yards and 11 touchdowns. He has also shown the ability to line up on the outside at receiver and use his speed to create separation in the passing game. Dowell has caught 24 passes for 290 yards and three touchdowns so far this season. Wes' 14 total touchdowns has him sitting as the leading scorer in 5A as we head into Week 6. He has also made an impact on defense this season, accounting for five tackles and one interception so far. Dowell doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to continue to keep an eye on throughout the rest of his senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1175831' first='Landen' last='Bratcher'] has been on my radar for a while now and has continued to stand out so far this season. Bratcher has explosive speed which he uses to blow by opposing defensive backs with ease in the deep passing game. He also has very reliable hands and does a great job of tracking the ball over his shoulder to make catches without losing stride. Landen has caught 31 passes for 498 yards and five touchdowns through the first five weeks of the season. Bratcher doesn't currently hold any offers but I wouldn't be surprised to see some come his way soon as he has received a good amount of college interest.

[player_tooltip player_id='1908434' first='Aviyan' last='Delaney'] is a player who has caught my attention with a strong start to his junior year. He is a player that Collins likes to get the ball to quickly and let him do the rest. Delaney has shown the ability to use his speed and elusiveness in the open field to turn short passes/screens into big gains in a hurry. He has also proven that he can use his speed and smooth breaks in his routes to create separation with ease. Delaney leads his team in receiving through their first five games with 26 catches for 465 yards and six touchdowns. Aviyan doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to watch as he continues to develop.

He is a versatile receiver who has shown the ability to play both on the outside and in the slot. North is a dangerous deep threat who uses his speed to run by opposing defensive backs with ease. He is also impressive after the catch, showing the ability to use his speed and elusiveness to turn short passes into big gains at any given moment. North has also made an impact on defense this season, recording four tackles and three interceptions (tied for 5A lead) this season. RaMaun doesn't currently hold any offers but he is a player who college coaches should have their eyes on over the next two seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='500073' first='Justyn' last='Perez'] has continued to establish himself as one of the best offensive linemen in the state this season, regardless of class. He has moved to the inside at right guard this season where he is a mauler in the run game. Perez drive his man down the field with ease and finishes his blocks through the whistle with a ton of physicality, often resulting in pancake blocks. He has also shown the ability to get to the second level with a sense of urgency and pick up blocks in the open field. In pass protection, Perez does a great job of fighting with his hands to defeat pass rush moves quickly. Justyn currently holds multiple Power 4 offers and I expect that list to continue to grow over the next couple years.

[player_tooltip player_id='378828' first='Brady' last='Hull'] has been high on my radar since he was in middle school and has continued to stand out so far as a junior. He lines up at left tackle where he is very impressive as a run blocker. Hull explodes out of his stance and does a great job of running his feet through contact to create movement off the line of scrimmage with ease. He has also proven to be reliable in pass protection, showing the ability to maintain a strong base and inside position with his hands while absorbing contact, not allowing for much penetration into the pocket. Hull currently holds several Power 4 offers and I expect more to pile up for him this season.

He is also very impressive as a pass blocker, showing the ability to use his quick footwork to mirror opposing pass rushers off the edge with ease. Carson currently holds offers from Rhode Island, UT-Martin, and Gardner-Webb, and I expect more to come his way this season as he is a true Division I caliber prospect.

Philpot plays with a high motor and a ton of physicality, showing the ability to drive his man several yards down the field with ease and finish his blocks through the whistle. He also moves very well from the tackle spot, showing the ability to pull and get into the open field to pick up blocks at the second level.
