While Collins couldn’t pull out a victory, Hence has quickly established himself as one of the best wide receivers at the 5A level this season. His tandem with Ball State commit Kade Goodin Kade Goodin 6'3" | 200 lbs | QB Collins | 2027 State KY will be one of the best in Kentucky this fall. With over 400 receiving yards to his credit in two weeks, he could find himself catching the eye of some schools at the next level sooner rather than later.

Defensively, he added two tackles and a pass breakup. However, he was a star offensively with seven catches for 91 yards and two touchdowns on the receiving end of things. One touchdown saw Hence tiptoe along the front corner of the end zone, catching a ball while being blanketed by multiple Blue Devils defenders. The other score saw him go up and high point the football over the head of an unsuspecting defensive back. Overall, a very impressive opening week performance by Hence to start his senior season.

That’s good for 14.5 yards per reception. On the field, Hence is twitchy and hard to bring down. At 6’2″, he’s long, explosive, and is a high-effort player with or without the ball in his hands. He’s showcased his ability to catch the ball in traffic as well as maintain possession through contact. He does a good job of being aware of his surroundings, meaning down and distance, as well as his location along the sideline. He has all the makings of a high-IQ player at the next level.

He has also shown the speed to blow by opposing defensive backs to create separation in the deep passing game. Hence has received a little college interest and I expect a lot of eyes to be on him during his junior year.
