Lathon went nuclear in Bishop Hartley's 55-42 win vs Elyria Catholic. On 21 carries, Lathon went for 309 yards and six touchdowns. On the same night, Lathon became the career rushing yard holder at Bishop Hartley. Lathon is a physical runner who can shake off contact and explode to get forward. He's smooth and patient in making his moves. He's one of the best pure runners in all of Central Ohio. Lathon and Bishop Hartley look to continue forward as they travel northeast to take on Ursuline Friday night.

Buescher is back at it again at West Jefferson. He completed 32/41 passes for 342 yards and four passing touchdowns. He demonstrates his patience in allowing progressions to develop in his film. On his first clip, he throws with pinpoint accuracy as he splits the gap for a touchdown. 54 seconds into his film, he showcases another instance of his accuracy. He waits for his running back to get past the linebacker, and seeds it over his head for another touchdown. Buescher and West Jefferson defeated Amanda Clearcreek 27-20.

Peterson only got one half of work this past Friday night, but he did damage to the Licking Heights defense. In 15 total touches (9 rushing, 6 receptions), he had 174 yards (105 rushing, 69 receiving) and two touchdowns. He has a very smooth running style that allows him to change direction quickly. He's got good vision when running and can find open space. We need more reps to see from Kolton and much of the Newark starting offense, but it's an impressive start for the Wildcats. They look to start 2-0 as they take on Mt. Vernon Friday night.

Jerwers and New Albany may not have won against London Friday night, but he was a bright spot for the Eagles' offense. Jett punched in the only touchdown for New Albany on a checkdown reception, where he beat defenders with a quick cut before smashing his way into the endzone. Jett possesses great straight-line speed, and he combines that with his ability to read gaps and capitalize on open space. He's got the power to break through contact and keeps his lower half working at all times. Jett would finish with 195 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries. New Albany will look to bounce back against Wadsworth this Friday night.

Caleb and Africentric took it to Woodward in week one, defeating them 72-0. Anthony only received three catches, but he finished with a touchdown and 100 yards with two more touchdowns on special teams. Caleb's quickness is a threat to any defense. He can take the top off of a defense at any time, but can also receive a screen pass at the line of scrimmage and do damage. He also does damage on special teams as a kick returner. All defensive and special teams coordinators need to be wary of #2 with the ball in his hands. Africentric travels to Minster this Friday night to compete for a 2-0 record.

Peter plays both ways for Teays Valley, but we will focus on his offensive performance from this past Friday. Graham finished with 153 total yards (73 rushing, 80 receiving) and a rushing touchdown on eight carries and five receptions. He can line up as a tight end in the passing game, but typically lines up at running back. He's a physical runner who runs with good balance. I want to see more touches for Peter to get more of a feel of where he lies within the 2027 class. Teays Valley will look for their first win of the 2025 season as they host former MSL Buckeye foe Bloom Carroll.
