Buescher is back at it again at West Jefferson. He completed 32/41 passes for 342 yards and four passing touchdowns. He demonstrates his patience in allowing progressions to develop in his film. On his first clip, he throws with pinpoint accuracy as he splits the gap for a touchdown. 54 seconds into his film, he showcases another instance of his accuracy. He waits for his running back to get past the linebacker, and seeds it over his head for another touchdown. Buescher and West Jefferson defeated Amanda Clearcreek 27-20.

Buescher finished third in Division VI in passing with 2,101 yards and will be a key returner for West Jefferson, leading all underclassmen in the state’s classification. The 6-foot-4, 175-pound quarterback looks the part and can sling it. He displays a quick release and throw with good velocity and accuracy.

Buescher is a 3-year starter at quarterback for the Rough Riders. He picked up an offer from Kent State in May of this year, but still remains somewhat under the radar. When you watch his film, his arm talent pops. He has the ability to make all of the throws with comfort. Where I think he excels the most is being able to drive the ball into windows. His ability to read defenses pre-snap know where to go with the ball when he gets it in his hands. He shows the ability to find the soft spots and pick apart the cover 2. Versus man he shows a great ability to throw over the top and make the back shoulder throw. He’s continuing to add good weight and get stronger. As coaches see his junior film and get him on campus, I expect his interests and offer lists to continue to grow.

At 6’4 Austin already stands at the ideal height of a quarterback at the next level with still a lot of room for him to fill into his frame while he is still in high school. He looks comfortable in the pocket with good awareness and shows the ability to escape and extend plays. He shows good accuracy and touch on deep passes with enough arm strength to place balls in tight windows. He is currently without any offers, but I expect his interest to continue to grow throughout the summer.
