I have talked about Halicek for a couple of years now, and he has largely proven me right. I think this season will cap off what has been a tremendous career at Clare. Jacob Halicek is a lanky and quick athlete with real track speed and good fundamentals. I love his route running and his ability to leverage his size and athleticism to his advantage. He presents a real mismatch against some of the defensive backs in the Jack Pine and tends to exploit those matchups. He has been putting in the work and his potential will be realized this fall!

Due to injury, Own didn't get to show what he could really do with his move to receiver last season. But that hasn't made me forget his incredibly high ceiling. Last summer, I watched him dominate in 7 on 7 matchups, and probably had the catch of the summer at Saginaw Valley State's tournament. He is going into 2025 relatively new to the WR position, and will be a great size piece to oppose the blazing speed of his teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1244363' first='Ahman' last='Edmonds']. Owen is big, can play physical and still has a ton of untapped potential heading into this fall. I am super excited to see what he can do now that he's back healthy and ready to go.

The versatility [player_tooltip player_id='1538594' first='Will' last='Fussman'] showed last season makes me incredibly excited for what he can do this season. Whether it was taking short passes and screens to the house, or stretching the field vertically with his deep ball prowess, he was a threat to hurt the defense from anywhere. Will can also out-muscle a lot of DBs for position and high point the football when it comes his way, making him a threat in the red zone as well. Kenowa Hills has been making some major improvements lately, and [player_tooltip player_id='1538594' first='Will' last='Fussman'] will be an X-Factor to their success.

I have talked about Bradly Boyk before, but I really think he is in for a tremendous season in 2025. His ceiling from the slot is as high as anyone in this class, and with the insane track speed and athleticism, paired with good route running and strong hands, Boyk could work his way onto the radars of a lot of coaches at the next level. John Glenn as a program is rising, and Boyk will likely be a major player for the Bobcats. His release, route running and hands have all improved steadily, and with another year of varsity experience, he will be in for another production jump this fall.

After getting to see Luke play in person, I have been super high on him and his booming potential. He really played that safety valve kind of position for his QB. Any time the play broke down or the blocking wasn't there, Goss was able to wiggle free of his defender and give his QB a safe target to gain some yards. He is extremely comfortable with the ball in his hands in the open field, often grabbing extra yardage and outrunning angles for explosive plays. Mason has always thrived when they had a sparkplug kind of player who can deal damage from a variety of positions. It appears [player_tooltip player_id='1615680' first='Luke' last='Goss'] is going to be that guy for them this season!

I will be in attendance for Jax's first game of the season against Saline, and I couldn't be more excited! I like how versatile Jax can be for this Rockford offense. In some situations, he can burn guys off the line and get open in a hurry. He can also run a clean and detailed route, gain leverage and make the grab. Eichbauer also has the ability to just go up and with great concentration. He finishes the catch through contact and can even get loose in the open field. Week 1 against Saline will be a huge stage to make a statement and put his name on the map with some of the best pass catchers in the state!
