His ability to make plays inside and outside the pocket is excellent. He has good mechanics and footwork in the pocket as he delivers a good football. He does a good job of reading the defense, then throwing to the open receiver. He is a good athlete, and he can be used in the running game on designed quarterback runs. He also shows that gun slinger ability when the play breaks down, and he scrambles around to find open receivers. Tavares is a good quarterback in the 2026 class, and he already has an offer from F&amp;M. He has excellent mechanics and footwork in the pocket. I especially like the touch he puts on the ball. He knows how to throw the ball with the perfect amount of air. You see this with his deep ball. He also does a good job of reading the defense and then throwing an excellent ball in the perfect position to his receivers. He has limited reps running the ball, but on one play, he showed his wheels on a quarterback called run, and he raced to the end zone. His ability to out-jump defenders on 50/50 go balls is impressive, as he has the body control to go up and catch the ball. He also showed a good ability to make plays after he catches the ball. He also showed a good ability as a defensive back with his ability to drop back in coverage and take away passing lanes. He even blocked a punt. His ability to break tackles is impressive because if a defender tries to arm tackle him, Rohan can usually break their tackle. The other part of his game I like is how patient he is as a runner. His ability to wait patiently for the hole to open up and then explode through it is impressive. He shows the same ability as a linebacker by being a hard-nosed and tough linebacker. He is good at both pass and run defense. As a run stuffer, he does a good job of reading the play and then attacking upfield against the offense. He is also a good tackler, who tackles opposing ball carriers extremely well. Gerst is a menace for offenses to try to block. He does a good job of scanning the field and throwing a good ball to his receivers. He has a great feel for when and where he wants to throw the ball. He also has excellent size (6'1') and athleticism. When the play breaks down, Welhorsky is able to scramble around to find open receivers. He is also a good runner who is a physical runner. He rushed for over 1,000 yards last year, which is an impressive number for a quarterback.
