Now, to the opposing sideline opposite North Hills, Brayden Gerst Brayden Gerst 5'10" | 185 lbs | LB Hempfield Area | 2026 State PA had himself an excellent game, leading the Hempfield area against North Hills. Gerst is an excellent in-the-box linebacker. He does a good job making tackles in or near the line of scrimmage. He is an excellent run defender by making a ton of tackles. Gerst and Hempfield are a team to keep an eye out for, as they appear to be much improved this season. Gerst deserves a helmet sticker.

Brayden Gerst Brayden Gerst 5'10" | 185 lbs | LB Hempfield Area | 2026 State PA is an outstanding linebacker for Hempfield Area. I love the way he runs sideline-to-sideline, chasing plays all over the field. His ability to make plays against the run and the pass is excellent. As a run stuffer, he does a good job of reading the play and then attacking upfield against the offense. He is also a good tackler, who tackles opposing ball carriers extremely well. Gerst is a menace for offenses to try to block. Gerst is a good player who should play even better this season.

Watching Brayden Gerst Brayden Gerst 5'10" | 185 lbs | LB Hempfield Area | 2026 State PA ‘s film made me think about when I used to coach football and see a great player come downhill and tackle. That is what Brayden Gerst Brayden Gerst 5'10" | 185 lbs | LB Hempfield Area | 2026 State PA does. He is excellent at coming downhill and making tackles. Especially in the run game. If you run anything inside he usually gets off the block and makes the tackle. Gerst also has a nose for the ball and helped recover fumbles as well. Gerst is a good linebacker prospect in the 2026 class.

Brayden Gerst Brayden Gerst 5'10" | 185 lbs | LB Hempfield Area | 2026 State PA is a good two-way player at running back and linebacker. As an inside linebacker, he shows good skills in reading his keys in the backfield and then triggering downhill to make tackles. He shows good speed to chase downplays from behind and drop in pass coverage. At running back Gerst shows a physical running style. He is hard to bring down and punishes defenders trying to tackle him. Gerst is a good player who shows good skills on both offense and defense.
