Drew Welhorsky Drew Welhorsky 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB/ATH South Fayette | 2026 State PA has one of the strongest and most impressive arms among the quarterbacks in the 2026 class. He does a good job of scanning the field and throwing a good ball to his receivers. He has a great feel for when and where he wants to throw the ball. He also has excellent size (6’1′) and athleticism. When the play breaks down, Welhorsky is able to scramble around to find open receivers. He is also a good runner who is a physical runner. He rushed for over 1,000 yards last year, which is an impressive number for a quarterback. I am excited to see how he plays this year, as I think he could play even better.

Seven touchdowns in two games, South Fayette’s Welhorsky is epitomizing the “ATH” designation. His numbers over the past two weeks also prove that he should be ranked among the top 300, not 62 paces outside of that threshold. Welhorsky saw a considerable jump this offseason, yet the dual-threat athlete is showing his off-season leap might not have taken him far enough up our ranks. 100+ rushing yards in each game, 150+ passing yards in each as well. Tough prospect to gameplan against clearly. All t’s should be crossed before lining up across this young man. Stock is up.

Drew Welhorsky Drew Welhorsky 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB/ATH South Fayette | 2026 State PA is a good athlete who played as a spot-duty quarterback and as a defensive back. At quarterback, he was used mostly on designed QB run plays. He showed good speed and physical running style. In one clip he faked a punt and took it for a big run. Welhorsky was used in short shortage as well to run for tough yards. As a defensive back, he showed a good ability to come up field and make tackles in the open field. Welhorsky shows good skills on both sides of the ball.

Looking around Pennsylvania for some freshman play and I stumbled upon South Fayette’s Drew Welhorsky Drew Welhorsky 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB/ATH South Fayette | 2026 State PA , someone I admittedly didn’t know would start right away. Loved what I saw out of his first start against Chartiers Valley. If I didn’t know any better, I would have thought this was an upperclassman out there. Nothing particularly spectacular, which in its own right was the special part of Welhorsky’s debut. He looked calm, under control, and ran the offense the way it’s supposed to be run. Can’t ask for more out of a Freshman, excited to get him ranked.
