The Chapmanville Tigers have a perfect storm brewing in 2025 with a mix of talented returning players and a favorable schedule that could produce their best season since 2011, when they won their last playoff game. The Tigers have a good group of veterans paired with promising young talent that should have fans in that area excited about this season and beyond. Although they'll be moved up to AAA this year, don't sleep on the Tigers to make some noise.

Kovach has great size for the position at 6'2 230, and looks the part of a college middle linebacker prospect. He has the upside to climb even higher in the rankings after seeing his senior film and will add to his list of offers this fall."

[player_tooltip player_id='1137047' first='Benji' last='Adkins'] is beginning to receive the recognition he's capable of from colleges heading into his senior year. He received an offer from Charleston earlier this summer and is a high upside player with a ton of potential. Tight end is where we project him to play at the next level, given his length and athleticism with a basketball background. Ward was a state champion in the 100-meter dash this spring, running a sub-11-second time to secure the gold in Class AA. Adkins is a dynamic playmaker out of the slot who's quick and shifty with the ball in his hands. He's a threat to score any time he touches the ball and can be utilized in the screen and quick throw game or take the top of the defense. He was thrown into the fire as QB1 as a freshman, and you could see that it was his first year at the high school level at times. However, Dalton has the size and athleticism to develop nicely either as a quarterback or an ATH. He's a two-sport star for the Tigers and is well known on the basketball court as well. Dalton is the type of athlete who could play a few different positions at the next level, depending on how he develops as a passer, with D1 potential either at quarterback or another skill position."

"Our early top specialist prospect in the 2028 class is Chapmanville K Ashton McClanhan. He was the Tigers' kickoff specialist as a freshman, where he performed at a high level for a first-year kicker. McClanhan will likely have that role again this season as Chapmanville boasts a talented specialists group, but should have place-kicking opportunities as an upperclassman in the future. He has an early, strong leg, but the most impressive part of his kickoff ability as a young player was ball placement. McClanhan is able to be utilized on directional kicks and squibs to put the ball in tricky spots for the return team. That speaks to his ability as a young kicker and bodes well for his future outlook as a specialist prospect."

How his body develops over the next three years will determine which side of the line he ends up on in college.
