After three strong seasons at Man, he brings elite speed, highlighted by a state championship in the 100-meter dash, to complement his versatility on the field. Ward has been a key contributor on both sides of the ball this season, catching 45 passes for 955 yards and 15 touchdowns while also recording seven interceptions on defense. As one of the more under-the-radar 2026 prospects in the state, he has the athleticism and playmaking ability to make a major impact and draw serious attention from colleges during the postseason.

Trey Ward Trey Ward 6'1" | 175 lbs | WR/DB Chapmanville | 2026 State WV will be a big-time addition to the Tigers program this season after being a standout player for Man the past three years. He’s one of the more underrated and under-the-radar 2026 prospects in the state who colleges need to get eyes on. Ward was a state champion in the 100-meter dash this spring, running a sub-11-second time to secure the gold in Class AA. He may make his biggest mark at receiver this season for the Tigers, while being ranked as a Top 15 DB in the class, and is a high-level athlete who may make a big jump in the rankings after the season.

Offense wasn’t plentiful in Man’s 13-7 win over Logan in week one but 2026 WR/DB Trey Ward Trey Ward 6'1" | 175 lbs | WR/DB Chapmanville | 2026 State WV had a productive night for the Hillbillies. The 6’2 175 receiver caught 6 passes for 101 yards and a touchdown that ended up being the game-winner. Ward also picked off one of four total interceptions by the Man defense on a nice reaction while playing centerfield. Ward was a matchup problem for the Wildcats given his length and athleticism and moved well for his size on film with a nice YAC play on his touchdown. He was an All-State player in 2023 and will be a small school player to watch over the next two years.
