A key piece of Chapmanville’s success in the trenches last season, Topping brings a physical, hard-nosed style that shows up on every snap. He plays through the whistle, finishes blocks, and brings that same mentality to the defensive side of the ball. With the Tigers replacing several experienced linemen, Topping will be one of the players counted on to keep that physical identity intact.

As a two-way starter since his sophomore year, he’s proven himself as a force on defense while also anchoring the line at center and guard on offense. Topping’s frame and athleticism give him the potential to develop into a standout prospect at either position, with the ability to reach the second level and create space in the run game. Though early varsity film is limited, he’s one to watch as he continues to grow into a college-level talent.

Jaxon Topping Jaxon Topping 6'3" | 255 lbs | OL/DL Chapmanville | 2027 State WV is a talented two-way player for the Tigers and was a varsity starter as a sophomore. He posted 68 tackles in 2024 on defense and can play center and guard on offense. Topping has a good frame that could be molded into a prospect for either side of the line and has good potential for both. He’s a quality athlete who can consistently get to the second level of the defense and block in space. Film is limited from his sophomore season, but keep an eye on Topping to further emerge as a college prospect over the next two seasons.
