A new campaign kicks off on Aug. 29 with teams from across the state pursuing that magical run to a November appearance in the UNI-Dome. It should serve as fuel for the newest collection of Rams, and they have enough talent returning to get things going back in the right direction. The offensive line can be dominant with Buthe, Kinney and Schmitt operating there. Ludwig, Johnson and Newberry are quality skill players working behind them. It also had a program that strives for championships annually back at work to take it two steps farther this season. Like most years, Lewis Central will be making up for graduation losses. It does so this season with a strong group of returnees. Jefferis, Scott, Doss, Phippen, Tatum and Nettles all are important to team success in multiple phases. The defense should be very good with several members of that group along with Buthe, Applegate, Blanchard, Walling, Cooper and McNeal. Infanger and Cooper are strong in the trenches. Lee and Heller stand out on the O-Line.
