Expert Analysis
Oliver West | Prep Redzone Scout
One of the best route runners in attendance at the North Dakota Flagship Camp goes to Lewis Central High School’s Braxton Parks. Parks was creating impressive separation on good defensive back competition, and he even put a couple of CBs in a blender at the LOS or at the top of the route thanks to his footwork and overall twitch. Parks‘ ability to accelerate and explode out of his breaks was working particularly well during 1v1s at UND’s first camp of the summer. Only a 2028 too!

has already proven himself to be a stud as a two-way threat. Parks led the offense with 781 receiving yards on 53 receptions and 10 TDs in just his sophomore season. Parks also recorded 3 INTs in the secondary in 2025. Standing out in the slot, Parks is one of the fastest playmakers across all of Iowa, being able to burn defenders over the seams and when he gets past the last line of defense, there is simply no catching him. Parks was consistently able to stretch the field as a vertical threat, working at his best when running deep over the middle of the field behind the secondary. Parks will look to develop more refined route-running skills to further embolden his threat as a dangerous slot option going forward.

The Yellow Jackets’ offense may take a hit in 2026 with the loss of many of their offensive starters from last season, but one gem that should certainly step up as a leader for the team this season will be

. Parks’ shined during the 2025 season, finishing with 781 receiving yards on 53 receptions (14.7 YPC) and 10 TDs. Defensively, he racked up 18.5 total tackles, 2 PDs, and 3 INTs. Parks emerged in his sophomore season as an immediate playmaker, being able to torch secondaries in the slot as a consistent vertical threat while also showing outstanding ball skills both offensively and defensively, making him a threat to take it to the house either way. Clocking a 4.59 40 yard time back at the PRZIA/NE showcase in November, Parks is dangerously fast, and considering he’s only entering his junior season, there’s no telling how much more dangerous he will be by the end of his high school career.

will have plenty of catches and touchdowns under his belt by the time he reaches college football. This last season with the Yellow Jackets, he caught 53 passes for 781 yards and ten scores.
He put together the majority of his production in the screen game, slants over the middle and out-routes, serving as the scatty, playmaking receiver that was an exhausting cover for corners and safeties alike. Catching the ocassional go-ball, too, Parks was a threat down the field.
Set to transfer and play for Lewis Central, a powerhouse in western Iowa, Parks will get even more exposure and quality reps in one of the best programs in recent memory. He’ll need to add weight to his frame and maintain his speed, but Parks has potential to be a solid slot receiver.

is steadily growing as one of the most exciting WR prospects in the state, having shined during the stock up showcase event back in November following a successful breakout year in 2025. Parks finished with 781 yards on 53 receptions and 10 TDs in 2025. A fast athlete who excels in the slot, Parks’ quick footwork and ability to get behind the secondary consistently with ease has made him quite dangerous to go against, and he contributes well as an effective run blocker despite his smaller size. Parks is easily the best player on the Yellow Jackets’ team right now, and he should continue to command a heavy workload for their offense over the next 2 seasons.

is the only 2028 prospect to make this list as he best player on both sides of the ball for the Yellow Jackets.
Offensively, the No. 3 WR in his class has grabbed 47 passes for 686 yards and ten scores, while adding four pancake blocks in the run game. Defensively, Parks has registered 16.5 tackles, along with three interceptions and two PBUs.
With the Stock Up Showcase Tour coming to his hometown of Council Bluffs in late November, hopefully Parks shows up and shows off what he’s got.

to get adjusted to the varsity game, immediately emerging as the top target in the Yellow Jackets’ offense. As a freshman, Braxton finished with a team-high 47 receptions and 561 receiving yards with two touchdowns. Parks projects best as an inside/slot receiver who can use his diverse route tree to cook defenses up at all levels of the field. Very tough— Parks showed no hesitation running routes over the middle of the field and displayed the strength to hold on to the ball while dealing with contact. Parks does a good job attacking the ball by coming back for the pass to make sure he’s there before the defender gets a chance to make a play on it. Good understanding of spacing and identifying weak spots in coverage. Braxton also possesses upside on defense with 19 tackles and two interceptions at DB. Definitely a prospect to monitor closely in these upcoming seasons!

Parks broke onto the scene with a 47-catch freshman season in 2024. He gained 561 yards on those grabs with a pair of touchdowns. He gets off of the line and into his routes quickly while operating out of the slot. He runs them crisply and has a knack for finding holes in the defense. Parks shows reliable hands and the steadiness to come down with the ball in traffic. He makes defenders miss in space with sharp cutting and acceleration. Parks already is fundamentally sound, so it’s a matter of refining those skills and adding to his bag as he develops.
