I caught Jefferis perform during the state semifinals at the UNI-Dome in November. He’s another intriguing prospect from a program that produces them regularly. Even though college coaches might be conflicted about his future position, it’s pretty apparent that he’s just a really good football player when watching his sophomore highlight video. He makes people miss when running with the ball, whether obtained via handoff or catch, and Jefferis is a physical defender with bad intentions.

– Good-looking, muscular prospect who stands an unverified 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds right now. Already claiming a bench press of 225 pounds and also an unverified 4.92 in the forty
– Did a lot of damage as a Running Back this past season as an eighth grader, but long term I think he projects to be a middle linebacker. Shows sudden burst and powerful legs on his film, but doesn’t appear to have the elite speed (at this point) to be a next-level back
– Jefferis will be at Lewis Central High School in Council Bluffs for the next four years, joining a program team that fell just short of a state championship this past season. The Titans ended the year 12-1 and ranked No.3 in the state rankings, with their lone loss coming by seven points in the title game to No.1 ranked Xavier
