quickly found his groove and brought Glenwood back into contention following a down year in 2024. Carlo threw for 1758 yards, 13 TDs, and 3 INTs while rushing for 244 yards and 8 TDs on the ground. A southpaw with a strong arm, Carlo does a great job fitting passes through tight windows, showcasing an impressive amount of power and velocity on his throws while stretching the field with his scrambling ability. While he didn’t generate a ton of production on the run, Carlo proved to be a capable runner when he tucked the ball for himself. Carlo will look to conclude his run with the Rams with a state title added to his belt in his senior campaign.
Carlo is another guy who is due an evaluation on this site. Prep Redzone last wrote one in April of 2025. Since then, the Glenwood signal caller put together a successful junior campaign this past fall. Carlo completed 58.9 percent of this throws for 1,758 yrds and 13 touchdowns against just three interceptions. He added 244 yards and eight scores on the ground. During his 11th-grade highlight video, Carlo offers evidence as to how he prospers between the lines. The left-hander can spin the ball through tight windows and releases the ball quickly. He’s comfortable slinging it from the pocket or when rolling out in either direction. Carlo is a legit threat when the play breaks down, finding open receivers or chewing up yards with his legs.
Carlo got his feet wet with the varsity last season, completing all six of his passing attempts for 97 yards and rushing for a pair of touchdowns. With a senior starter ahead of him on the depth chart graduating, he has a line on the No. 1 gig heading into 2025. Carlo flashes his potential during his sophomore highlight video. The left-hander utilizes his mobility and slick feet to evade the rush, keeping plays alive off schedule. Carlo throws accurately on the move and does a nice job keeping his eyes down field as the play unfolds. He’ll take off and gain yards on the ground if he sees open running lanes. Carlo can spin the ball into tight windows.
