I always enjoy making the trip to Nippert Stadium. The Bearcat football program had a good turnout. It was a warm and humid day in Cincinnati. There was plenty of good work put in before the camp got ended a little early due to a thunderstorm in the area. As the groups split up, I was able to watch some of the quarterbacks and Offensive and defensive lines. The trenches were strong on both sides of the ball. It's a shame that the 1v1's were cut short due to a thunderstorm that came through. Let's take a look at some players who caught my eye on the day.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1602663' first='Patrick' last='O'Brien'] (Archbishop Moeller) 6'6 280 - O'Brien (pictured above) was a player who I was really excited to get to see. O'Brien looked to be every bit of his listed 6'6 280 pounds. He showed great bend and is a fluid athlete. In some of their run drills he showed the ability to drive and overmatch the defender. He's P4 offers from West Virginia and Kentucky. I'd be very surprised if that list doesn't grow quickly with some strong junior film this fall.

2027 OL [player_tooltip player_id='1693161' first='Conner' last='Rutherford'] (Chillicothe) 6'6 280- At 6'6'280 Conner possesses a great frame and carries his weight well. In his pass set he has quick feet shows good bend. He showed the strength in the run blocking drills. I'm really excited to see what Rutheford can put on film this fall. I think he has a chance to really explode onto the recruiting scene this fall.

2027 OL [player_tooltip player_id='1594745' first='Max' last='Koback'] (Toledo Central Catholic) 6'4 305- I saw Max back in January and over these last several months he's really transformed his body. He once again showed good footwork and a strong anchor. He plays with heavy hands and is patient and under control in all of his movements.

2026 OL [player_tooltip player_id='1693258' first='Lenin' last='Aguilar'] (Mason) 6'6 250- I was very impressed with Aguilar's feet and athleticism. He uses his length and mirrors well. If he can continue to add good weight and get stronger, I really like how he's trending. He's someone that could be developed into a strong offensive tackle at the next level.

2026 DL [player_tooltip player_id='1693254' first='Mohamed' last='Bangoura'] (Westerville South) 6'7 240- Bangoura is a fun player. He has a rare blend of size and explosive athleticism. He broad jumped close to 10'. While he's a little raw in some of his pass rush moves and hand work, his athleticism flashes. He has a good feel for how to use his length to gain the advantage and then use his athleticism to win. Bangoura currently holds 3 MAC offers and I think that list could continue to grow yet this offseason.

2027 DL [player_tooltip player_id='503618' first='Jaiden' last='Davis'] (Middletown) 6'3 250- Davis has good size for rising junior. He has a compact build. Davis has an explosive first step and flashed some great hand that really left the blocker in his tracks. It's easy to see why Davis has 8 D1 offers and 2 P4 offers.

2026 DL [player_tooltip player_id='1086726' first='Juan' last='Bates II'] (Mason) 6'2 265- Bates has a quick first step and active hands that he uses to win against opposing blockers. Bates is agile and shows the ability to cross over when the blocker oversets. He's relentless rusher who plays to the whistle.

2028 DL [player_tooltip player_id='1637493' first='Jayden' last='McKinney'] (Winton Woods) 6'2 260- McKinney is far beyond his years, physically. He strong and knows how to use leverage. He plays with great pad level. He was over powering bigger blockers. He has explosive quickness. He's a young man everyone is going to need to keep their eye on.
