We had him in our top 10 even before the offers started rolling in, but even we were impressed with the winter that he had. Once he got his first big offer, the big guns started taking aim as SEC and Big Ten schools have stepped in with offers. He has elite size, but he doesn't lumber around, as his footwork and hips are like that of a much smaller lineman. He's a tackle all the way, something top schools often struggle to find. He can play either guard position and has the frame to kick out to tackle in a pinch. Hames is still adding muscle and growing into his body, but he has a considerable amount of upside and looks comfortable snapping the ball and in the running game.
