This may have been the best we've seen 2026 Fairmont Senior OL [player_tooltip player_id='1518161' first='DaeShaun' last='Floyd'] look at Fairmont State's Elite Camp. His impressive showing was rewarded with an offer from the host Falcons, adding another to his group of four with more to come. Floyd is doing a great job of developing his body and technique as a late bloomer with a high ceiling for the position. He looked strong and physical during 1-on-1s with improved footwork. A strong senior season could open the door to FCS opportunities if they don't come by the end of summer.

2026 Morgantown OL [player_tooltip player_id='1238323' first='Blake' last='Buffington'] will make a big jump in our upcoming rankings update later this summer, and getting to see him in person for the first time only cemented that notion further. We knew Buffington was one of the more athletic offensive linemen in the state when we tabbed him on our Perfect 2026 OL Build for his mobility, and seeing him live proved as much. Even with some hiccups in form during 40 testing, Buffington still ran a 5.34, a time that he's capable of shaving multiple tenths off of. He maintained that momentum during 1-on-1s, flashing quick feet and good bend, with the physical strength to comfortably handle the defensive linemen in attendance.

2027 Glen Allen (VA) offensive lineman Cannon Vernon impressed me with his resilience and competitiveness at the Fairmont State Elite Camp. He knows he's undersized for the position with long snapping ability as well, but Vernon stood in there against some bigger and older defensive linemen and competed hard. He did a nice job of taking the coaching he was receiving and applying it to his reps. While Vernon has physical limitations as an OL prospect, his heart and toughness didn't go unnoticed by me or the Fairmont OL coaches.

2026 Huntington DL [player_tooltip player_id='1138539' first='Max' last='Bohren'] is a prospect who we've been high on for a while now, and it was good to get to see him in person again since this time last year. His length and athleticism cause issues for opposing offensive linemen, and that was the case at times during 1-on-1s. Bohren will benefit from developing some pass rush moves and using that length and hands more to his advantage. The raw potential and upside are there for Bohren to develop into a high-level defensive end or tackle at the next level with added size and progress in his technique.

2026 Spring Mills DL [player_tooltip player_id='1138543' first='Abelardo' last='Meza'] flashed some good things at the Fairmont State Elite Camp during 1-on-1s. I think he offers a lot of value in his current ranking and should open the door to D2 opportunities this fall. I was impressed with his quickness off the line and out of his stance for an interior DL prospect. Meza stays low, firing out of his stance, and does a nice job of out-leveraging his man.

I thought 2026 John Handley (VA) DL Carson Green flashed at times at the Fairmont State Elite Camp this past weekend. He's a shorter, stocky interior defensive lineman who would be a great candidate at nose guard at the next level. Green showed quality ball get off and explosiveness off the line during 1-on-1s. His stature benefits him at times, getting under his man and out-leveraging them. Green also utilized developed pass rush moves and did a nice job of hand-fighting when block-shedding. I think he'd be a great value add for a D3 program if his size keeps away D2 programs.

2026 Fairmont Senior DL Javein Papal'i'i is far away from his ceiling as a football player, but flashed potential at Fairmont State's Elite Camp. He has the frame that can be developed into a much different-looking athlete in a few years at the college level. Papal'i'i has quality athleticism to utilize and build around as he fine-tunes his technique and fundamentals at the position. He has good length and quickness to defend the edge as a DE, as a late bloomer who has the potential to transform into a much-improved player with some patience and development at the next level.

2026 Shady Spring prospect [player_tooltip player_id='894971' first='Joey' last='Cowger'] will likely slide over to EDGE in our next rankings update, given his size and skill set. He was a top performer at our Stock Up Showcase earlier this year and has real potential at that position. Cowger had a very tough matchup with highly ranked OL [player_tooltip player_id='1518161' first='DaeShaun' last='Floyd'] during the portion of 1-on-1s that I was able to see, but it was a good learning experience for him and where he can improve. He has quality quickness off the end that will help develop his pass rush moves and technique, which would take his ability to new heights.

A D3 lineman prospect to know out of Avon Grove (PA) is Gavin Smith. Smith's best position is likely along the offensive line, as he chose to primarily work out as a defensive lineman at Fairmont State's Elite Camp. He possesses strength and power as an athlete, which translates well at nose guard. His future in college may be at center, though, on offense with the ideal stature for a small college and physicality for the position.
