Joey Cowger Joey Cowger 6'1" | 215 lbs | EDGE/OL Shady Spring | 2026 State WV is an EDGE prospect that we like but will play on both sides of the line for the Tigers. We’ve seen him in person several times a campsl and Cowger is someone that D3 programs would find a lot of value in. A great senior season could allow D2 opportunities as well as Cowger has been a quality player for the Tigers since he was an underclassman.

He was a top performer at our Stock Up Showcase earlier this year and has real potential at that position. Cowger had a very tough matchup with highly ranked OL DaeShaun Floyd DaeShaun Floyd 6'4" | 310 lbs | OL/DL Fairmont Senior | 2026 State WV during the portion of 1-on-1s that I was able to see, but it was a good learning experience for him and where he can improve. He has quality quickness off the end that will help develop his pass rush moves and technique, which would take his ability to new heights.

2026 Shady Spring DL Joey Cowger Joey Cowger 6'1" | 215 lbs | EDGE/OL Shady Spring | 2026 State WV was another pleasant surprise at the Stock Up Showcase and earned one of the DL Top Performer spots. He’s a versatile athlete with the potential to grow into a true DE build with the possibility of Edge as well. Cowger is still raw as a pass rusher and can continue to learn and develop how to use his hands to his advantage, but was explosive and powerful coming off the end during the camp. He has a wrestling background that will also benefit his defensive line development and plays center on offense for the Tigers as well. Cowger is under the radar right now, but a full off-season training as a DE should increase his stock highly during his senior season.
