We're continuing our 2027 rankings update coverage with reports on some of the wide receivers who have impressed us recently. We've already covered our QB stock-risers and RB stock-risers, so it's not time to take a look at the wide receivers who moved up the rankings.

This rankings update was heavy on new players, but we still had several receivers move up the rankings, with four players moving up within the rankings and three players moving from watchlist to ranked. Which 2027 WRs were stock-risers this spring?

On a list of big-school receivers, the small-school product stands out with a unique route-stemming ability and positional versatility. He made his way into the rankings after I reevaluated the former watchlist receiver for an early April series. Willoughby is a high-motored, route-running machine with a skill set that should intrigue Division 2 and 3 schools.

We've had the chance to evaluate Latimore a few times this spring, first at our Prep Redzone Combine and then at Matt Morrow's CFI Showcase. Both of us came away impressed with his hands and route-running. I'd like to see him cut some time off his 40, but this could be the year that he breaks out with a big junior season.

Martin's path to the rankings was an interesting one. While evaluating some of Southeast Raleigh's talented offensive linemen, Martin stood out as a guy who was seemingly always open. The new Rolesville transfer might have some trouble establishing a consistent role in a loaded receiver room, at least initially, but I think he could carve out a niche as a guy who operates underneath and picks up yards after the catch.

McClure had our biggest jump of any receiver in the rankings, moving up 34 spots to his position at 125. He had a strong CFI Showcase showing, impressing my colleague Matt Morrow, and it's easy to see why in his film. A two-way player, McClure's ball skills and strong hands stand out, and he has multiple 50-50 ball wins down the field, plays that have a huge impact on the game.

Bost is following a trajectory that we love as a staff at Prep Redzone: he entered the rankings in January after a strong sophomore season, then continued to impress this spring, leading to a 15-spot jump in the rankings. He does a lot right, as a strong route-runner who can operate over the middle or make people miss after the catch.

Mosley is the perfect case of why I love to get players -- specifically receivers -- in a camp setting. He's used as a gadget guy in his Willow Spring offense and he's solid in that role, but that's not his future. It's hard to tell from his film that he's a route-running specialist who can create separation without having to always rely on superior athleticism. That will translate to the college level, where teams can't get enough of crafty separators.

Ross has had an outstanding early offseason, getting bigger in the weight room and continuing to get faster. He's a matchup nightmare with his quickness and leaping ability and as he continues to hone his route-running and hands, the rising junior should see his recruitment take off.
