The quarterback position stole the show during Sunday's PRZ WI Spring Showcase. The currently uncommitted 2026 talent, and the underclassmen left no doubt that the QB position is at its peak when it comes to the state of Wisconsin. There were multiple kids in attendance that I believe can be D1 commits when their time comes to make those decisions. The talent for the D2/D3 levels also showed up and showed out. This showcase gave me confidence that over the next few years we are going to see a lot of college programs led by former WI prep athletes, including athletes that were in attendance Sunday.
A kid that was neck and neck for MVP of the position group was DeForest's [player_tooltip player_id='948127' first='Isaac' last='Ziegler']. The junior started the day with a strong combine verifying the dual threat ability we have seen on tape. 4.66 40, 4.38 shuttle, 9'6" broad jump, 6.84 L-Drill are all elite numbers for the position and should catch a lot of attention from those next level coaches. He definitely had the attention of the coaches in attendance as a passer.

The coaches and myself were impressed by the crisp mechanics, footwork, and throwing motion. Prototypical across the board when it comes to those parts of his game. Just as high quality was Isaac's accuracy and arm strength. Ziegler came out and left little doubt that he has the arm to be an eventual starter at the next level. He has touch and velocity depending on the situation and his ball placement was spot on all day long. Isaac is no doubt one of the best in this rare Class of WI QBs.

One of the best of the day in the group of QBs was sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1083381' first='Nolan' last='Hanson']. His development has been quick over the past year both physically and as a QB. Watching him sling it around the field in person, once again, really allowed me to see just how special the arm talent is. Nolan has a bit of a unique throwing motion, but it is photocopy similar from rep to rep. That allows him to be very accurate. The throwing motion also gives him a very quick snap release that gets the ball out quickly. Something that Nolan has that not many kids at the HS level has is his level of arm strength. The ball jumps out of his hand the second he releases it. His ability to drive the ball into spots with velocity, and carry that velocity to the catch point is special. I can't wait to watch him lead the Arrowhead offense this fall.

I have been able to cross paths with Eli a couple times this offseason now. So I know he has been putting in the time, effort, and commitment to take his game as a passer to the next level. After watching him closely on Sunday it is clear that the work is translating to success on the field. The sophomore's arm talent is on a great upward trajectory of improvement. He has a compact throwing motion that efficiently gets the ball out. His control over his accuracy has gotten so much more consistent. Also his ability to step into a ball and fire it on a rope is going to be very useful this fall on Friday nights. It was a great day of throwing the ball for Eli on Sunday.

Maybe the most improved player since his last Showcase attendance was Anishka. His 5'9" 175 lbs frame looks bigger and more filled out than in the past, and as a passer he impressed me and the coaching staff often. The '27 is clearly a QB that has put in the work in the offseason. His mechanics are finely tuned and his accuracy was outstanding. Whatever the route concepts were and where the ball needed to be Anishka was going to get it to that spot. Not only was the ball placement really good, his arm strength has clearly taken a jump as well. It was impressive watching him drive the ball with little to no air underneath it when he had to hit a tight window and it had the coaches working the position impressed. Great day from the Menomonee Falls QB1.

What a day from the freshman QB out of Grafton! Hunter started the day off with a combine that proved he was one of the best overall athletes in attendance. We are talking about numbers like a 4.54 40, 4.12 shuttle, 7.22 L-Drill, and an 8'11" broad jump. He also measured in at 6' 159 lbs with a 6'3" wingspan and 10" hands. You couldn't ask for a better showing in that half of the event.

Flipping over to the passing side of his day, Hunter did well with the footwork throughout drills and throws. The natural athlete can move with the best of them. As the arm strength continues to improve with the development of his frame we are going to see him make leaps as a QB because he was able to be accurate throughout the day.

It was great to see Kade in person on Sunday. The athletic sophomore had a solid combine with a 4.78 40, 4.44 shuttle, and 6.97 L-Drill. Those numbers match what you see on tape as he beats defenses with his legs pretty consistently. What was great to see what the velocity he was able to use on his short to intermediate throws. Kade threw dart after dart, easily beating DBs to spots with his ability to put it on a rope. Despite the 150 lbs frame Kade proved that he can get everything out of it to put power on the ball. It was a well rounded day that starts to build the believe that Kade can play at the next level, QB or even another spot with his athletic abilities.

Jarrett is gearing up for a big summer and his third season as the starting QB for New Berlin Eisenhower. The 5'10" 196 lbs athlete has a compact throwing motion that gets the ball out of his hands quickly. It also allows him to get a lot of his body into passes when he needs to put that extra velocity on him. In those situations Jarrett can really drive the ball, and he proved that throughout the day during the Showcase. Despite the size limitations Jarrett didn't struggle with arm strength on any of the routes drawn up on Sunday. The arm talent is there to work with.

Junior [player_tooltip player_id='700023' first='Caden' last='Jurci'] checked in right at 6' 180 lbs on Sunday ready to turn some heads with his abilities. The head-turning performance started early with his combine performance. He ran a 4.72 40, 4.22 shuttle, 8'11" broad, and a 7.00 L-Drill. Those are numbers that tell me the '26 is a dual threat athlete. In '24 he was able to put up 200 yards on the ground to go along with his 1,300+ passing yards.

As a passer, Caden dominates with his ball placement and overall accuracy to every level of the field. The junior did a great job throughout the day of understanding where the ball needed to be and delivering it to the spot and on time. Looking back to 2024 that shouldn't be a surprise as the leader of the Kettle Moraine offense was able to complete almost 70% of his passes. It was a really good day from start to finish for the rising junior signal caller.

Nolberto came into camp at 5'8" 170 lbs with just under 9" hands and just over a 6' wingspan. The freshman has caught my eyes at past camps and on tape with his athleticism. That was on display early and often again during the Showcase. The freshman is so fluid with his footwork, quickly getting depth in his drops and then right into his throwing motion. Even with that undersized frame the 2028 had rep after rep of him being able to place the ball consistently into the right spots for his WR to run to it for the reception. Rosales also showed great timing on a lot of those deeper throws where you are essentially throwing your man open. Strong showing from a freshman signal caller.

Another strong showing for the freshman out of Verona. Max checked in at 6'2' 196 lbs with almost 9" hands. A great frame for the 2028 to continue to build upon over the coming years. Another key trait for him to lean on is his arm strength. All day long Maxwell showed off his ability to push the ball to the deepest parts of the field with his natural arm strength. The freshman did a great job of putting it up where his man could go and attack it at the high point. It was also impressive watching him be to really step into it and drive the ball on intermediate routes towards the far sideline. I'm excited to see him mechanics continue to become more fluid so that he can get the ball out quicker and his accuracy can become even more consistent, but the kid is at a really good place in his development.
