Here's a look at five QB-WR duo's returning for the 2025 season:

Goodman and Arnett both came in at #2 for all juniors in all conferences in the state in passing yards and receiving yards, and have even more potential and chemistry to ignite that again in 2025. Goodman was dialed in all year and really established himself as a top QB in the state by throwing for over 3,000 yards and 43 TD's in that 12 game span with just 4 picks. Arnett was a clear WR1 target for Goodman, as he hauled in 58 receptions for over 1,200 yards and an unreal 24 TD's. If there's two kids in the state that deserve immediately division 1 attention- it's 100% these two.

[player_tooltip player_id='1369445' first='Brodie' last='Vehrs'] '26 & [player_tooltip player_id='1177611' first='Kash' last='Brock'] '26: Basha

Vehrs stepped in as a first year starter and was touted to fill some big shoes after the Demond Williams era. He answered the bell and played with a chip on his shoulder all year to help lead Basha to an Open Division state Championship appearance. The Northern Arizona commit threw for over 2,900 yards and 27 TD's with only 2 INT's on the year. Within those 2,900 yards, Brock was on the other end of those hauling in 30 receptions for 401 yards and 5 TD's, ultimately putting himself on the map and landing himself a current 9 division 1 offers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1134311' first='Gunner' last='Fagrell'] '26 & [player_tooltip player_id='1145497' first='Jaden' last='Taylor'] '26: Higley

Fagrell's road at Higley has been a wild one, and out of everyone in the state that deserves a shot to have a full season to showcase what they can do, it's him. Two years ago he served as the starter while the highly recruited Luke Haugosat out due to the transfer rule. Fagrell lit it up and played a huge part on Higley's 5A stater title. Last year, he tookover again when Haugo suffered an injury and once again helped lead Higley to the 5A state championship, and did so by throwing for over 1,200 yards and 11 TD's. This year, the other guy I think will be the difference maker and has that chemistry with Fagrell is [player_tooltip player_id='1145497' first='Jaden' last='Taylor'], who put up 842 yards on 53 receptions with 13 TD's.

[player_tooltip player_id='1587237' first='Colten' last='Meyer'] '26 & [player_tooltip player_id='1190656' first='Sean' last='Roebuck'] '27: Marana

Meyer led the state for all 2026's last year in passing yards by throwing for 3,687 yards with 30 TD's. He stepped up and utilized one of the best weapons in the state in [player_tooltip player_id='368908' first='Dezmen' last='Roebuck']. This season, he loses Roebuck to the University of Washington. However, who is Roebuck's replacement? That would be yet another Roebuck, Sean, who is Dezmen's younger brother. [player_tooltip player_id='1190656' first='Sean' last='Roebuck'] had himself a very impressive sophomore season as well, hauling in 38 receptions for over 600 yards and 3 TD's. The Meyer-Roebuck connection doesn't have to stop until after the 2025 season down at Marana, so it'll be interesting to see Meyer do what he does once again while another Roebuck puts themselves on the map.

[player_tooltip player_id='1587252' first='Evan' last='Heinrich'] '26 & [player_tooltip player_id='1682322' first='Ashton' last='Sanchez'] '26: Arizona College Prep

After a 4A State Champion ship appearance, Heinrich and Sanchez are back for their senior years with the potential to light it up once again here this fall. Heinrich tossed for 2,410 yards and 30 TD's on the year, dominating nearly any defense they played against. Sanchez was electric all season as well, putting up over 796 yards on 39 receptions with 14 TD's. As they enter their senior year coming off a highly productive junior seasons but not quite being able to win it all, you have to believe these two are setting a standard and feel that need to run it back, and do it bigger here in '25.
