Expert Analysis
Jordan Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
Arnett holds five collegiate offers but remains one of the most under-recruited pass catchers in the state, especially considering the polish and production he brings to the field. He’s an advanced route runner out of the slot, consistently setting up defenders with creative movement, tempo, and disciplined stems that open windows for the quarterback. At the catch point, he’s aggressive and confident, attacking the ball in the air and winning contested opportunities. Once the ball is secured, he has the complete skill set to create after the catch—vision, balance, and burst that consistently turn routine plays into chunk gains. He finds the end zone at a high rate, and his combination of technical refinement, toughness, and playmaking ability suggests he’s primed to outplay his offer list.

Arnett is the division’s top returning receiver after a breakout junior year that saw him rack 1,230 yards and setting a 6A state record with 24 touchdowns on 58 receptions. A quick twitch slot receiver, he accelerates hard off the LOS and wins with advanced route running, precise breaks, and creative releases. His top end speed and lateral agility make him a threat to score from anywhere on the field. Arnett holds five current offers and is #71 overall in the PRZ state rankings.

Arnett turned heads across Arizona last fall, putting up a monster line of 58 catches, 1,230 yards, and 24 touchdowns as a junior. He’s got that rare combination of speed to separate, body control to win contested catches, and the shiftiness to turn short gains into scores. He isn’t the biggest wideout on the field, but his ability to out-leverage defenders, run crisp routes, and make tough plays in traffic more than makes up for it. Mountain View leaned on him as their go-to guy in every situation, and he delivered with WR1 efficiency. Going into 2025, he’s clearly the centerpiece of their offense. Defenses will throw brackets and doubles at him, but expect the Toros to find ways to feed him on quick-game throws and mix in just enough of the deep shots. He’s the kind of receiver you circle on the scouting report every week, because if you don’t account for him, he’ll change the game on his own.

This is my second time mentioning Arnett this offseason, and I’m it will continue to happen as I’ll echo this to personnel departments for the next 6 months to get this kid on their board. Slippery, explosive player with loose hips with big play ability from anywhere. A dynamic kid with swift lateral ability and just has that natural ability to find ways to generate those yards after the catch. Expecting a big fall from a loaded up Mountain View squad.

Arnett really stepped up for Mountain View during his Jr. season, hauling in 58 receptions for 1,230 yards and 24 TD’s. Explosive release off the LOS and a smooth runner with excellent top end speed and loose hips swiftly change direction and get in and out of breaks. Excellent after the catch as he’s a slippery kid to bring down but also possesses good play strength to fight through contact when needed as well. Good spatial awareness as he can maneuver his way through traffic and find that open soft spot. Really intriguing kid that should have another huge year next season, as he should 100% be on your board.

Arnett had a breakout junior season leading 6A in receiving with 1,230 yards on 58 receptions while also setting the 6A state record for receiving touchdowns with 24. He’s a quick twitch athlete out of the slot with great acceleration and drive phase off the LOS forcing the DB to transition early. He’s an advanced route runner that creates positional leverage with good usage and timing of stems and nods at the break point. Like his creativity in his releases showing he can avoid contact. Possesses deceptive top end speed and lateral quickness to be explosive after the catch. Dynamic receiver with a versatile route tree that debuts in the rankings at #50 overall and the ninth ranked WR in the updated 2026 PRZ state rankings. Voted First Team All-Arizona and Offensive Region Player of the Year.
