One of the best available quarterbacks in the 2026 class, he holds an offer from Cornell and is ranked as the No. 6 QB and No. 60 overall prospect in the PRZ state rankings. He operates with smooth, efficient movement in the pocket, staying balanced while feeling and avoiding pressure with natural poise. His arm talent stands out he can push the ball vertically with ease or drive throws with velocity to the short and intermediate areas. A plus athlete, he’s able to extend plays outside the pocket and threaten defenses as a runner when he tucks the ball. With his blend of athletic ability, pocket control, and arm strength, he brings one of the most complete quarterback skill sets still on the board.
Gunner’s game against Brophy is the kind you circle when you talk about having command when the lights get brightest. This season has been less about piling up totals and more about how and when he delivers. You can see the senior experience shine through every week. He played clean and poised through three quarters of that Brophy game, then tightened the screws in the fourth and overtime — working quick-game on time, trusting his eyes on out routes, using his legs to buy time when he needed to, and ripping a few money throws over the middle when the pocket squeezed and he couldn’t escape. The ball comes out with some serious power behind it. He’s got that natural strength that allows him to throw it to any part of the field. Add in the situational mastery — like his ability to find the mismatch the second a defense blinks — and you get a clutch closer who just delivered a comeback over a really good defense. The stat line pops because of the moment, but the tape says the same thing every week: calm feet, quick processing, and the confidence to make the right throw even when it’s not the flashy one.
Accuracy isn’t just about hitting your receiver; it’s about putting the ball exactly where it needs to be. That’s where Gunner FagrellGunnerFagrell

shines. Whether he’s dropping it over a defender’s shoulder 40 yards downfield or threading the needle between multiple defenders, he always seems to deliver. The way he places the ball in open space is almost surgical, and he’s got the touch to adjust based on the coverage, distance, and situation.

‘s season at Higley was nothing short of spectacular, blending undeniable, raw talent with an astute understanding of the game. Leading Higley on a 5A championship run, Fagrell looked calm and poised in each and every game. A quarterback who excels with deceptive speed and an uncanny ability to dissect defenses. He has a great balance between taking risks when the opportunity presents itself, while also being open to taking whatever the defense gives him. This all leads to his game looking much more mature and refined than you’d expect from a sophomore. His journey this season – highlighted by leadership in crucial moments and an unwavering poise under pressure – will prove to be extremely valuable experience for him moving forward. Fagrell’s arm strength, coupled with exceptional footwork and impressive accuracy, combine to torment opposing secondaries. Finishing his sophomore campaign leading all of 5A in total yards (3,593) with a 65.3% completion rate, he put the state on notice. If he’s able to add some weight onto his tall frame and work on his burst, he could add another dynamic element to his game and make himself nearly impossible to defend. As he continues to grow, Fagrell embodies the complete package. His ascent to the third-ranked QB (with a case to be higher) in his class is a testament to his hard work and potential, making his progress in the off-season something to watch.
