The game of football has become ultra athletic these days with dual threat quarterbacks becoming game changers. Christian

- Many people will look at Curtis and immediately think of him as a pass first quarterback, which is due to his arm strength and size but this Mid-Tennessee signal caller is equally as good at tucking the ball and running it as well. The state's top overall prospect is uber talented with the arm power to make all the throws but Curtis is also dynamic when he runs the ball. For a guy standing 6 '4 215 plus pounds, Curtis can run and with his size and strength, defenders have a hard time bringing him down when he gets into the open field. Once he gets into the college ranks, I expect Curtis to become more pass first behind center but when it's called for, the Eagles quarterback can certainly cause damage with his legs.

https://twitter.com/CharlesPower/status/1844906301022929335

- - - - -

(QB) [player_tooltip player_id='1254853' first='Bronzden' last='Chaffin'] - Upperman

- From a true dual threat point of view, Chaffin is the top multi faceted quarterback from our #TN2026 class that presents defense's a lot of problems with his arm and his legs. Standing 6 '4 220 plus pounds, Chaffin is a physical presence in the backfield that can push the ball down field with his powerful right arm but can also create big plays running the ball. His combination of size and speed presents big problems for defenders as they have a hard time keeping up or bringing him down, especially when he gets into open space. Chaffin's dual threat abilities are a big reason why D1 schools are heavily recruiting him and I expect more and more schools to get involved as they continue to scout his junior film.

https://twitter.com/NoahMcKayUCR/status/1850316642384810085

- - - - -

(QB) [player_tooltip player_id='480742' first='Kelvin' last='Perkins'] - Southwind

- Perkins is considered the top quarterback prospect coming out of the Memphis area for this cycle and that's due to his smooth mechanics, powerful right arm but also because of his athleticism and running abilities. The Jaguars senior signal caller has a great feel for the pocket, where he does stand tall trying to deliver the ball down field first but Perkins will certainly tuck it and run if needed and if he does, defenders have a tough time corralling him due to his natural athletic abilities. After seeing this guy in person recently, Perkins is bigger than I thought, which boosts his stock further because he is a true dual threat that presents exciting possibilities with both his arm and his legs.

https://twitter.com/KelvinPerkins67/status/1832272185907376166

- - - - -

(QB) [player_tooltip player_id='914547' first='Kaedyn' last='Marable'] - BGA

- Coming off a breakout junior season, Marable sits as one of the better dual threat quarterbacks we have from our #TN2026 class that brings a lot of big play abilities from the backfield, which translates well to the college game. The Wildcats senior has good size in the pocket and will look to push it down field first with his arm but when Marable is called to run it, he finds success due to his speed and vision. This 6 '3 signal caller shows good burst with his legs and tends to find a second gear when he hits the open field. I believe he would have more offers in-hand already if his weight was up but Marable does have the frame to pack on more weight and truly become the college level dual threat quarterback he can be.

https://twitter.com/Jacob_Shames/status/1842362793682440444

- - - - -

(QB) [player_tooltip player_id='964976' first='Kannon' last='Burroughs'] - Green Hill

- Sporting a nice combination of size and speed, Burroughs proved last season that he is one of the better dual threat quarterbacks we have from our rising senior class. The Hawks signal caller ran for over 1,000 yards last Fall, doing so with his speed and unique feel for finding open running lanes. Burroughs stands about 6'3 with a strong right arm but also the ability to reach the open field due to his legs. College coaches have already taken notice and probably like myself, see his upside as a dynamic dual threat guy on the next level but Burroughs must pack on more weight to truly become the talent I and others think he can be.

https://twitter.com/isaac_leedham/status/1822077051601330669

- - - - - - -

Five Other Dual Threat QBs to Know ……

(QB) [player_tooltip player_id='1115203' first='Kolby' last='Jones'] - Unicoi Co.: A multi talented guy, Jones has a nice combination of being able to push the ball down field with his arm but also pick up big yards with his legs.

(QB) [player_tooltip player_id='1562192' first='T.J.' last='Jenkins'] - Lausanne: Jenkins presents himself as a pass first guy but has the athleticism and skill set to develop nicely in college as a dual threat quarterback.

(QB) [player_tooltip player_id='402559' first='Maverick' last='Chance'] - Ravenwood: Sharing the position at Ravenwood, Chance is a multi talented quarterback that has improved his arm strength but it may be his athleticism and dual threat abilities that get him into the college game.

(QB) [player_tooltip player_id='1285767' first='Aiden' last='Thomas'] - White Station: Thomas is an athletic guy that shows upside as a dual threat signal caller in college with continued maturation and work in the weight room.

(QB) [player_tooltip player_id='1043649' first='Ethan' last='Bones'] - Clarksville Acad.: Bones is a tad undersized when it comes to translating into the college game but his calling card for the next level may be with his athletic abilities that allow him to be a threat running the ball.

The game of football has become ultra athletic these days with dual threat quarterbacks becoming game changers. These five guys from our #TN2026 class bring those abilities to the field that college coaches would love developing on the next level.
